Don't talk about illegal crap here. I'll just edit it out.

Yeah, either take the gradient out of reflecting mode at the top and put it in regular mode, and then just do the part you want.

Nice Tut Foog, had no clue even how to make a sig until tonight, this is what i came up with, nice work!

that's pretty good. keep in mind that that blending mode isn't the best for every situation- also, that text mode isn't always the best. just what worked for that sig. play around with stuff, that's how i learned.

yea some of the stuff didnt work as well for me as it did for you, kind of like the Darken in the layer mode i couldnt do that

add a better border, but other than that it's really top notch.

there is actually no border at all , lol i forgot about that, any suggestions on what kind of border or should i jus go with the 1 pixel stroke?

Does This Look Better?

i make one layer above all the others, and do a 4 pixel black stroke, and then a 3 pixel white stroke, and then a 1 pixel black stroke. then i set it to soft light.

So i make a new layer with a 4 stroke black, then i jus go down and do the 3 white and 1 black to the other layers or make those new as well???
Reply
#36
nope.

create one layer. on that layer, 4 px black stroke. then, on the SAME LAYER, just do a 3 px white stroke. then, on the SAME LAYER, do 1 px black. then soft light.

For the border, do you see the black line that is furthest inward on the sig? That is the 4-pixel stroke. After that is the 3-pixel white stroke, which you see in-between the black lines. Fianally, the last 1-pixel black stroke is the furthest outward on the sig (if your looking at the sig on a black background you may not be able to see it). If you have a 3-pixel white stroke, followed afterwards by a 1-pixel black stroke, that leaves 2-pixels that you can see on the white space. By working from inwards to outwards, and decreasing the size, you are just layering each stroke on top of one another, so it ends up looking like what his final result was.

And also, when you go to add the stokes, set in on "Inside"; center i believe means the middle of the stroke is on the outside border of the sig, and outside means it starts from the outside border of the sig and goes outwards (which is the exact opposite of what you're trying to do)

hope this helped ya out.
