Best merc gear

I personnaly like TombReaver 3 soc offcours eth but dont know will i find soon or will i be able to trade (after the reset the price must be verry large). Leviathan because of the def and the dmg reduction and gaze because of the dmg reduction and life stholen. Oh and 1 shael and 2 amn runes on the TombReaver. What do u think guys ? What is the best merc gear ?

I think 1.08 eth vamps for nl and just plain eth vamps for ladder, Eth Doom Cryptic Axe, Eth Great Hauberk or Archon Fort.

i like insight for casters with eth vamp gaze and eth shaftstop

Ya insight is good for casters that cant afford doom, id just use pots to keep my mana up after that, your merc will be able to kill almost anything byhimself with doom.

uhhh why use doom when u can just get a holy freeze merc from nm and lvl him to +88 or so in 1 day...
my ideal merc for sorc would use
80/30% ias coa
cham levi
and eth insight great poleaxe for best speed and range.

eth reapers is better for any melee character than doom imo...why freeze an enemy when u can just kill it.

Merc gear is all just your characters preference, for a Paladin i would use your setup silver, but for a necro i would use a might, doom merc.

I like using ifinity and eth fort on my trapsins merc i change the helm depending on what im doing

you wouldnt need doom with an orb sorc which is what i use insights for the most

Doom is just a good dmg weapon, i like it just so my merc can own, but i could be wrong, insight or another weapon could be better.

i just use a bone hew,vamp for the leech and damage reduce and then shaftstop for the damage reduce and the defense im pretty sure just off that my merc hits the damage reduce breakpoint ... =)

I use Reaper's Toll (Decriptify comes in handy for those physical immunes), Rockstopper or Vamp Gaze, and then whatever the best elite unique armor I can get my hands on, usually a levi.

yeah i actually usually just use the best spare things i have available..which isnt always very good since i play hcl. what i posted earlier is my preferrence if i have them

yeah dmg reduce breakpoint is at 50% other wise you could make your self physical immune which would be an insaine advantage or atleast i read about the 50% thing a while back when creating hacked chars

insight is the best value, 4 cheap runes, gotta be the best when you are starting out
