bk = life + skills (gives like 50 life!!) although i prefer a raven spiral
dracs = Lifetap = LIFELEACH 0mgz0r

didnt know drac had lifetap. just looked it up and your right. only 5% chance but with the exile it goes up to 20% (kinda).

and yea i knew bk adds life, guess i didnt think the .5 hp per lvl was worth that much when chars already have pretty high life

anyways, cool, i wouldnt have to have exile to get lifetap. i found an ohm couple days back but i think i'll most likely find a drac before a vex and ist

Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. The same applies to Grief. Fortitude does add damage. Get your facts straight before you start spamming all over the forum.

Bla bla.. I had a fort on my smiter. I TESTED IT OUT ON MONSTERS AND PEOPLE
My dmg was EXACTLY the same with and without
With greif my Dmg had more than doubled.

link: i dont know if % ed still works with smite in 1.11, who knows, maybe they changed it so it doesnt add anything to smite.... all i know is that i wouldnt be able to kill hell baal in less than 10 seconds with amp+smite. who knows, maybe its my godly 15% crushing blow from gores thats doing all the work o.0

heres how to test if % dmg works.
1. open jamella editor
2. open your character
3. create jewels and add in the max %ed ,and % ed based on characters lvl.
4. make yourself a grief phaseblade or zerker but just use normal magical attributes for the grief attributes.
5. make the grief socketed (6)
6. add 6 of your dmg jewels to it, make a 4 socketed archon plate and add 4 jewels to it, make a 3 socketed helm, and a 4 socketed zakarum shield and do the same. if i remember correctly.... one gets up to 750% ed per jewel, times that by 6+4+3+4=17 and you get...12750% ed
7. now to go for the grand effect.... make 1 small charm with 750% ed on it.
8. copy that sc 40x... you should have 42750% ed. or 427x your 2k smite dmg.
9. flip over to the skill pad and simply hit max all skills.
10. now the fun part.... flip back onto d2 and try killing every monster until you reach hell baal...once u reach hell baal try killing him in 1-2 smites.

if he dies instantly you will know that % ed works... if he doesnt... than i guess % ed doesnt work.

EDIT: If you look at your damage it actually does less dmg with Fort on then CoH, due to the +2 All Skills.

Wow, I have seen this as well. I took off CoH and then put back on Fort and it added exactly 3 more dmg. I also noticed while killing some $hlt it didnt do as much dmg as i thought. Maybe I am wrong Fort doesnt do anything but as what Ive seen, it doesnt do much. I will put back on my CoH (Maxed Resists again! YAY) Oh and is a Whrmhide Enigma worth a Ber Ber CoA? I do not know what Ber Ber CoA is worth and it is very rare to find someone trading it.


Silver: Could you test that for us? I will not trade my Fort until it is clear that ED% does not work. I only ask of you this because I do not have the program you speak of. Thx

Jrod, berber coa is worth from 15-40 high i think. depending on res/dr. i payed 4Xpcomb + 141 ber shako for my 31/23 coa. And your right, Very few ppl trade their 2soc coas.

I did test out fort while doing nm baal runs by myself. with it i THOUGHT i did more dmg only because i wanted it to, but after testing over and over i realised it was my imagination going BS on my ***.

Jrod, theres no need to trade ur fort. just put it on a zealot or barb or bowzon, it adds good dmg to them. CoH is still the king of smiter armors.. except cRaZy smiters who like to tele

why does the ed from armor, differ from helms, or shields?

and for that matter... why does % ed from rings, boots, charms, ammys differ?

and for that matter... why does the % ed from a weapon matter when using smite, smite, i belive... is based on SHIELD DMG, not weapon dmg.

and anyways why cant you test this out, when the editor required is on this very website? heres the link..http://www.d2sector.net/downloads/pafile...ile&id=162 (it still works in 1.11)

and why does coh help a smiter? other than 65% all resists, its useless for the ubers...and of course its useful for pvp too

Ok, I just quickly read Cauhtemoc's Guide and I was focusing on the Frames Section. This is what I received after looking over this.

Faster Block Rate - 86%
Faster Hit Recovery - 86%
Increased Attack Speed - 8% (For a Phase Blade)

My only question is about the increased attack speed. If I only need 8% IAS then my Grief Phase Blade covers it correct? Or is it calculating it with Greif Phase Blade meaning I need 8% more IAS to reach an Ideal Frame? I am so confused only about how much IAS % I need to be at my best. I have calculated that I only have 36% and thats from Grief PB, I was thinking about getting a 40/15 for my Guilhammes Face but after reading this Im not so sure I need it.

So are you saying I need 8% after Grief PB or does Grief PB cover the 8%? I just socketed Guilhammes Face with a 15 IAS Jewel and today I just got a CoA Lol so Im gonna socket it with a Ber...It only 1 socketed, 2os are so hard to get.

Silver. If ur right and ed from armor or helm or jewel or ANYTHING doesnt differ, i guess ED doesnt add to smite.
The + Dmg on astreons, greif and those pally rods Does NOT add to the weapon, meaning they're, what I call, "Free" Dmg, since they are free To attach to any melee skill, or the basic "attack".
The Redeemer
Mighty Scepter With Same ED But with 60-120 + Dmg
Does same dmg as
Heaven's Light
Mighty Scepter With same ED but no +dmg

This is the easiest proof that +Dmg of this sort doesnt add to the weapons base dmg. I dunno if blizz have said ne thing about the +dmg, this is just what my tests found

i wont comment for +dmg to demon since i dunno if it works on smite. its not Enhanced dmg.. but its not Raw dmg.. :confused: we'll just skip that..

5. +5% Max Light res, usfull if u dont wanna add to res light
   
6. "ok" res.
   

OVERVIEW
Obviously, no one would use fort if it wasnt for the ed.. wich doesnt add to smite apparently. Coh with the loverly bonuses it adds just simply makes it "The Best"
Ebug coh is "the Better" :p

lol...Sry if this annoyed you. I was just wondering but I ended up getting a CoA with 1 socket in it for Wyrmhide Enigma. Id say I got a hell of a deal but I need to get a Ber for it. Its definitly not as good as 2os. They are just so expensive.
