D2 problems

When i play d2 its fine until about 10 mins into it and it just constantly freezes, i can ctrl alt del to get out of it then when i go back in it waits about 5 seconds and it freezes again, can any-one tell me how to fix this.

Anti-virus software:
Firewall software:
Router: [Brand and model]
Video card:

The Diablo II v1.11 patch was released weeks ago which indicates it may not be related to the latest patch. Many players have been able to resolve this issue with tweaking their video settings which indicates that the issue is client-side.

chosencracks2, what video card and drivers do you have installed on your machine?


Chosencracks2 got it working by switching video mode to Direct Draw

im having a similer problem but it happens as soon as i do somthing in game can some one offer help

Yup. switching to DD sorts it, it freezes a lil but only for 1 sek max
