I wonder.. Could MapHack be placed inside your PatchD2 File? Like...
Someone could make a Maphack built into the Game itself? I wouldnt think Warden would scan the PatchD2 File...?

warden scans your entire d2 directory for somthing that isnt made by blizzard and if you made a new patch you wouldnt be able to play on battle.net unless bilzzard updated to that exact same patch

it might effect images but it wont effect gameplay. If it shows that you can buy things for 1 gold it dosent mean you will. The only time you would get realm downed of other errors is if it effects things is shouldnt clients side liek new skills and expanded stash. I can run mods and still play on realms with no problem.
The mod you used probably changed something drastic in the patch_d2.mpq so it couldnt function properly on realms.

Think it would be safer to check what it sends for an extended period of time, and if it tends to be sending always the same sequence of packets on an unchanged installation just block the packets it sends and instead send the 'unchanged sequence' every time it is asked for. But then that would require them not having a too complicated way of messing with those packets.

Well... as I said, Copying every File from the 1.11 patch, and the Same stuff from the Regular 1.11 patch and just installing a MapHack into it, able to be used on SP/Closed/Open..
It'd be quite a challenge, but I think that could be a good idea.

could it be possible for a maphack to hack into blizzards warden and mess it up(skip) when it hits the file that has the mh injected?
