Yup, my life is on a stable, steady course. Figured I'd start early since it's possible to give my love without resentment of being unprepared.

Nice jam session, I actually only listened to the beginning part where I heard actual Mario stuff then just skimmed through the rest.
So......to more important matters, this whole thing was certainly a turn of events. I come in one day and Pant is now on the other end of the banstick (not saying that Pant is banned or will be banned for this thread, just making a general statement on how things can go down if you decide to just forget your moral values as a human and decide to turn). I respect ya and all, Pant, and I think you did a great job while you were a mod, but why did you all of a sudden decide that you needed to express your inner soul in that manner to get you removed from the staff? Sure being part of any type of staff requires discipline and maturity at times, but too much of a good thing is just not needed. There were times where you weren't totally a hardass, and it was cool. Any type of staffing position requires that each staff member can also take time to create friendships within their workers (members in this case of a forum), and doing so requires more of a casual, laid-back attitude. If you combine this lesser-strict attitude with an attitude that at times it is mandatory to do your job respectably and truthfully, then you will gain the respect of each and every member (staff and regular) on the board. And no XXBD or whatever the hell initials you go by, I will not close this at the moment because I think that people can talk (or type in this case) in a manner that can be both flaming and talking respectably; it's the type of talk that all of the Flame Wars should use. At times it can be fun to just rant and rave on a topic, but it is much more interesting when somebody gives their reasons as to why they chose their position. ![]()

Woah. i missed a hell of a lot.
*dances* Jedi's right, Being a total hardass 100% of the time is just a show. ![]()

It started as a harmless joke that turned sour. I was demodded for "spamming," and I didn't ask for my position back. It's more fun like this. I realize that the only reason I'm still here is to share my music every once in a while (good exposure) and to flame the occasional person. I didn't even ban all that often. Sure, I did my job as a mod. I believe I did it really well.
Now that I'm on the other end, people are going to come forward and tell me how they don't like me. That's perfect. It sucks when you're a mod and everyone is actually afraid to say what they think. I remember when people thought I would ban them just because I would disagree with them. Hey kids, I'm not Hitler. It was fun being a mod, but the responsibility was just stupid. I felt as though I was running the site. The other mods are so inactive, (sorry to say) it's ridiculous. When I got a break from closing, moving, warning and banning; I liked to flame people. When that got done, I'd play jokes. Some people take them too seriously and I get this huge controversial case about it. I know me being de-modded won't be the end of it, and that's great. With my authority gone, I can confront AND STILL own people at their own level. I guess it's time to show that I still own them all without my moderator powers. People seemed to forget it. It was fun being a mod and I befriended a ton of cool people. My time there is done. I feel I did a lot for the forum, and it's time to see someone else step up to the plate. Let's see some new mods. ![]()

xdbd son, dimebag darrell you close all the fun threads and you know it

well oresama, they're all your threads now, lol, mr. supermod. And i agree with pant in his reasons for not wanting to be a mod anymore. He had the power for a while, and once he felt he had finished his term, he was ready to give it up and have fun like the rest of us. Its a perfectly valid argument. I wasnt around when it happened so im not sure how he went about doing it, it may have been a bad way, but i guess in this cause the end justifies the means.

09-01-2005, 10:29 PM
seeing as how pan1 po553 translates to Pani Posse, I doubt it.

From Jammin' to Flamin'? I want to see the next one Pant will destroy
![]() Btw, send sum more kickass solo's, is there anyway to download it instead of buffer it? You have to copyright it soon ![]()

lol a banpage would be okay, the only thing is youd have to be careful who you ban, cause if you banned someone like Foog, everyone would get pissed.

man i don't know how much i can stress this, and i know i've told you every time we talked this shit. speed is NOTHING without accuracy. accuracy must be your first goal foremost. master of puppets really isn't that easy, especially if you play it accurately, downpicked, and the whole way through. it's quite a workout for both frethand and pickhand. play sabbath songs my man. something like sabbath bloody sabbath, or snowblind. groovy riffs, moderate solos(low technicality, but awesome feel and moderate speed), and you can still be metal.
09-02-2005, 07:03 AM
I learned Master of Puppets, note for note, deadly easily. I wasn't even accurate when I learned it. The hardest part is the second riff... it's so fast. I didn't start playing it absolutely perfect until lately.
And I have to disagree on where you said speed is nothing. You can be as accurate as you like, but if you can't move your picking hand fast enough, you have nothing. ![]()
09-02-2005, 07:08 AM
well that's cool if you enjoy playing licks at superfast speeds but only sounding a quarter of the notes.
and i ahte to say it, but your domination solo mp3. if you would play those licks at about.. 1/4 gain or so, you wouldn't be able to hear most of the notes ![]() play it slow, work your way up. jumping right in at a million miles an hour does nothing but build bad habits and helps you hide behind gain. that's just my two cents well, that, and if you have to rely on speed to say something on guitar, to me that says alot... but again, that's my opinion. you never hear warren haynes or eric clapton play riffs at james hetfield speed, but they say just as much. speed is a biproduct of accuracy, not vica versa |
