Smiter Fortitude Armor

I just recently made a Fortitude armor for my smiter, according to Cauhtemauc's guide its soppose to be one of the best armors for smiters but it only adds 3 extra damage :confused:
am i missing something? whats wrong!!!

Ya need a Grief, but honestly, I think this stuff is seriously overated...I was testing out a smiter build and it couldnt even top 3k damage, even with an inventory full of combat gc's.

Something is up. Pffft! 12k smite? Yeah right. Liars!!

I have a level 83 smiter, pali torch, nigma, hoz, hoto, gob toe, etc. (All the good crushing blow stuf, charms, you know, the works*

I built him EXACTLY for beating ubers, and for pure damage, well guess what, with a level 36 smite, level 36 holy shield, 36 fanatacism, etc, etc, I do 2.3k with my gear. I borrowed my friends grief, exile, etc, all the godly gear to see how it would stack up.... guess what.... 3.2k Smiters dont do the 12k damage people think they do. They wont. cant. never will. Here is how smiters own things....

LIFE TAP! You get life tap on a monster, as long as you KEEP HITTING IT, you keep gaining life. I was in uber trist and I owned the ubers with life tap.

CRUSHING BLOW! All GOOD smiters use gullihmues face helm, gobblin toe boots, and shit like that that gives them a chance of crushing blow because it can own the ubers. This adds to damage and helps with life tap. Sure, fort may be good armor for a smiter, but also, a char is only as good as teh person using it. Learn to use your smiter, and he will own in pvm and pvp.

Min Smite Damage = (Shield Min Damage + (Damage +x) + (Holy Shield Min Damage)) * (1 + (Strength + (+x% Enhanced Damage) / 100)))

Max Smite Damage = (Shield Max Damage + (Damage +x) + (Holy Shield Max Damage)) * (1 + (Strength + (+x% Enhanced Damage) / 100)))

Thats the recipe
Not sure how to explina but add a 400 to +dmg SURE ADDS A LOT OF dmg.

It sure doesnt feel like 12k, especially when almost every monster has physical resistance.

I have an EASY way to take care of monsters that have phys resistance, like any GOOD smiter, that has thought about these things, put just 1 point into zeal. With one point in zeal, and the secondary weapon of barnars star (1-200 of every element damage added to attack) Along with the + skills items and shit any smiter has, you can take down the strongest phys immunes no problem at all.

No a good smiter has a merc with reapers toll so no monster is immune to phys.

reapers on a smiter's merc is useless, for one the merc is going to die in like 2 seconds after entering uber trist and another is that decrep doesen't remove the physical immune from "every" monster.

It's best to have one or two points into zeal amd to have a wepon like rw famine that has elem damage. Zeal also help's out when you get serounded. 2k smite damage will solo uber trist with ease, and it's not that hard to achieve.

The character screen displays the incorrect damage. The enhanced damage of Fortitude increases the damage of your smite by a couple hundred points. However it is not as valuable as the additional strength given by Enigma. Especially in a duel with another Smiter. Life is a bigger factor than damage. The secret to winning in a duel with Smiters is the amount of life. Given the same gear, a Smiter with 12 combat grand charm will not beat a Smiter with a full inventory of 20 life small charms.
