What's the best armor/def for making Enigma?

Finally got all the runes to make Enigma, but what def/armor should I be looking for to make it? (yes, I know 3 sockets) And also, what is the armor worth on East Ladder? Don't wanna over pay if i can help it.

If you want gg defence and you dont care about the str require go ebug a ornate plate or a godly defence armor and then nigma it

You could use a superior 15%enhanced defense 3 socket archon plate too. More defense and if you str bug right you won't have to add any str I believe.

No. It will allow for less flexibility of gear. Additionally, since Druid does not have a skill that boosts defense rating, it will not make a difference. Literally, the difference will be between 2000 and 2100 defense.

I have not played d2 in a long time but when I did I would always use dusk to make enigs because they just require 77 str to use and you can still get decent defense out of 1 (1213 is perfect i think). The ap requires 100 or 105 str i cant rem for sure and the def is not that much more than the dusk. You could go with a bp or a mage. The mage requires 55 str i think and the bp is 45 if I remember correctly but the defense is quite a bit lower on both of these than the dusk. The dusk just seems like you get more bang for your buck and kinda helps you reach a happy medium. Alot of people str glitch so the extra str is not a problem but I believe that to build a per char you need enough str and dex to equip your gear without str glitching. Not str glitching allows you to be able to change your char up to better suite what ever sitsuation you might be facing at the time. Like stacking, sorbing, smite , zeal or what ever change you might need to make. Anyways I hope this helps you decide and goodluck.

Wish you guys had posted about an hour earlier...made my enigma outta a 500 def plate...it's got a 256ish str req to wear...grrrr. Maybe I can trade it off, lol.
