ive never made a lld before and i thought i would try it. first off i was just wondering wut the typical lvl is for low lvl duelers.. i usually see 25 and under.

i also really want to know what the best lld setup would be.. which skills and items to use.

ive seen some zealots, jabazons, and kicksins.. i was thinking of a double swing barb. are lld casters any good in the new patch?

zealers pwn as llds.

get 6os wepon and socket it with 6 iths (max dmg)
get 4osarmor andsocketitwith 4 max dmg jwls
use 3 os shield and socket it with 3 p diamonds (res)
angleic rings//ammy
bloodfists is a must
use thread ofcothon boots
and a decent helm

That's a wonderful guide.... If you want to die 9 times out of 10 to a real LLD'er.

Here's a guide to a level 21 Zealot.

Keep in mind you can get 20 to max damage on a level 18 required jewel.


Weapon: 6 socket Military Pick with 6 "+15 to max damage" or higher jewels. (Military Picks are common, so only use a superior one with 15% Enhanced Damage)

OR

Cleglaw's sword with a "+15 to max damage" or higher jewel. (It has 50% Deadly Strike, meaning your hits will do double damage 50% of the time.)

Helmet: 3 socket (Mask if using Military Pick, Crown if using Cleglaw's) with 3 "+15 to max damage" or higher jewels.

Shield: Any Paladin only shield, as long as it has at least 60% Enhanced Damage before you put any jewels in. Socketed with, you guessed it, 4 "+15 to max damage" or higher jewels.

Armor: Twitchthroe Unique Studded Leather (10 to dex, 10 to strength, 25% increased block chance, 20% increased attack speed, 20% faster hit recovery) socketed with a "+15 to max damage" or higher jewel.

Gloves: Death's set Leather Gloves
Belt: Death's set Sash (Cannot be frozen, paired with the gloves it gives you 30% increased attack speed and 15 to all resists)

Boots: Cow King's Boots!! 20 dex and 30% faster run to chase those townhugging newbs

Rings: Angelic set rings ( Each ring gives 12 AR per level, and 20 life)
Amulet: Angelic set amulet (Needed to get the AR per level on the rings, adds 75 life and 10 dex, and you gain mana back when hit so you'll never be caught needing mana)

As for charms, you have a few options here, you can either stack small charms with 15 life (possibly with +3max,10-20 AR), or you can get 10 grand charms with +10 to max damage and 50+ AR paired with small charms with life (again, possibly with +3max,10-20 AR, but these things dont come cheaply!) or just plain old 3 max 10-20 ar small charms without life.


You might want to keep a Scepter with + to charge on your 2nd Weapon set so you can rush to or away from people.

Now, you can either get yourself Glitch Rushed to Hell mode so that you can take advantage of +10 more stat points and +8 skill points, or you can go legit and play by the rules set up on http://www.lld101.com

Skill Allocation:

Glitch Rushed:
20 to Sacrifice (adds 12% damage to your zeal)
4 to Concentration (You can't put more than 4 points here at level 21.)
Rest into Zeal

LLD101 Rules:
14 to Sacrifice
4 to Concentration
4 to Zeal


As for stats, you only need enough strength for your weapon, so if youre wearing a Military Pick, you need 39 strength base, possibly less if you have +strength on your +Damage charms
Or
45 strength base for Cleglaw's. (possibly less if you have +strength on your +Damage charms)
Obviously, the rest goes to Vitality since even with a Targe (40% block) you'll be at 75% block from the +30 dex and +25% increased block chance.

With all that covered,if you're glitch rushed and using cleglaws you can expect 40-1660~ damage zeal (If you count the deadly strike your damage is basically 60-2500) or 100-2000~ with a Military Pick.

There's a variety of levels in LLD, starting at level 13 and ending at level 30 (level 9-12 is considered VLLD or Very Low Level Dueling.)
In LLD people want to be the exact level of their highest level equipment, so you end up with level 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 24, 27, 29, and 30. I'd go further into this but I'm not up for another major typing session.

Most people choose a zealot or a caster as their first LLD character, and I wrote you a guide above this post.

yes casters are good in lld but not as strong because they donthave their masteries or majorskills maxed. a lvl 30 lld firesorcwud have like 20 in ball but only 10 in bolt. Howevermeelee chars only depend on their gear 4 damge not as heavilyon prereqs. hope this cleared sum stuff out

You can get a level 30 sorc to have 3k fireball, 7 frame fhr, 5 frame block, and 8 frame cast with 1000 life and max block. Don't underestimate a good LLD caster.


EDIT: Heres the build.

Gear:

Weapon: 35% Faster Cast Spirit Crystal Sword (It looks cool AND has the lowest requirements! )
Shield: Visceraunt Defender, Shael'ed
Helm: Rare Circlet with +2 Fire Skills, 20% Faster Cast, possibly +life strength mana or resistances, should be Shael'ed
Armor: 35% All Res Vipermagi, preferably with 13 Magic Damage reduce, Shael'ed
Gloves: No brainer, Magefists
Boots: Cow Kings Boots for 20 dex, helps reach max block.
Belt: Perfect String of Ears!! Damn right, 15% damage reduce on top of 15 magic damage reduce.
Rings: SOJs
Amulet: Rare amulet with +2 Fire skills, other mods are helpful but not important. If you can't get a perfect spirit sword you'll want 10% faster cast on this so you can reach the 105% Breakpoint.


Charms: 30x 15 life small charms, preferably with other mods, like +all res or high single res, 10x bugged 70 mana 15 life scs if you can afford them (otherwise more life scs).


Stats:
Strength: Enough for gear.
Dex: Enough for 75% block with Visceraunt
Vitality: Everything else.


Skills:

1 to Frozen Armor (Optional)
1 to Teleport
1 to Fire Mastery
19 to Fire Ball
Rest to Fire Bolt

There you have it, if you're glitch rushed you'll be at approximately 2700-3000k Fire Ball.

IMO the best HARDCORE llder/Pker is the 2 handed chargedin. put pts in charge out to yin yang, than pt in might as a rigth click aura. Take a step out of town and smack em with your big 2 handed sword. I reccommend putting those nasty +15 dmg jewels in everything. Probably use the equipment reccommended for the LLD zealot that was posted earlier (W/o the shield of course).
