This is a simple guide for those who have their LOD CD but want to use 2 Diablo II Windows with their two keys. Those without their CD must wait for Loader. This is a great alternative for now, or atleast till Loader comes out.
Needed To Begin:
- Two Sets of Classic & LOD Keys
- Hex Editor (I used UltraEdit-32)
- All Diablo II Installation Disks
1. Fresh install of d2
2. Patch install
3. Rename the Dir.
4. Replace the Shortcut with a new working Shortcut.
5. Install second instance of d2
6. Patch up the 2nd Install
7. Open up D2gfx.dll in your Hex Editor
8. Change line C0 74 45 to C0 EB 45
9. Save and close
You can get UltraEdit-32 off of Cnet.com if you need it.
