I don't care how charismatic a president is, as long as he does his job... And he got us oil, which is what really matters. Ok, some people died in a war and such, but it would be pandemonium if we ran out of oil.

Don't want to die in a war? Don't join the military.

i agree with you to a point, but when we have a prez like bush who cant pronounce 3rd grade words it gets me woried, also from now on i thoikn we should refer to the US armed forces as "american Terrorists" thats al thay are, lets go to other countries tell them the way thay do stuff is bad and force our views on the! God why does everone have to be a cog in bushes/americas incidous plot! some stop the madness and think of the children ext. and further more karry would have sucked just aqs bad, stupid democrat flip flop god im glad he died or whatever happened to him and is how many half a mil purp hearts? he seamed to get on ever time he was on TV!

We wouldn't need so much oil if we learned to be less dependent upon it. The US uses more oil than the rest of the world COMBINED! We need to start using technology such as what Europe is doing right now; more nature friendly, energy efficient, and an outlook for the future. Global warming? Get ready. The next 50 years will be a doozy.

As for lowering taxes, this just shows how Bush doesn't know jack shit about economics. He only got through Harvard (I think that's where he went) because his dad was rich. Ever notice how all of his oil companies in Texas went bankrupt? Not because there wasn't enough oil to drill out, but because he just didn't know jack shit about owning a company. He'd move from one to another, each going bankrupt.

Hey, I think I'll run for president!

from an economic stand point so far Bush dominates. Look where we were going after 9/11 and look where we are. Awesome price levels, gdp and unemployment rate. Many economists predict we will go into an inflationary perod hence greenspan raising interest rates. Lowering taxes will balance well with the interest rates. Due to business and consumer expectations the interest rates could cause the economy to go down, but lowering taxes will give the people more spending money which will balance out the gdp/economy. Btw it pisses me off when people get mad about the weak dollar. A weak dollar rules because it makes our goods more appealing to other countries which allows us to export more. GG. Remeber, bush may not be articulate but he is no economic dummy, he did run his own oil company.

Ye your right, the europeans have been using this along time now, cuz their thinkin about their kids and their kids and their kid...bah their thinking about the future and the next generations. Stop just thinking about urselfs and try to use less oil. Most countries doesnt use the half as much as oil than you. Look at Sweden for example. The country is just as good as yours, yet they use and got less oil. They even pay more than you to help peaple in need than you and their just 7 million peaple!!! ffs come an give ur money to the poor and helpless peaple in the wars instead of buying that black water you guys seem to love...:wacky:

Of course the US uses more oil..we arent exactly a small country are we? Lower taxes is basically the current generation saying "here you go have a huge *** debt to deal with when we are gone." to the next generation. Near the end of Clintion's term, we were close to balancing...then bush came along...

i think the US's biggest mistake will be continuing to rely so heavy on oil when we have the time and technology now to switch to alternative fuels and energies. if we dont start converting now then when the oil supply runs out then we'll be left with our thumbs up our @sses trying to power our 1000" tvs and moving sidewalks

I don't think it fair that we blame our high intake of oil on our President, huh? He doesn't exactly have any control over consumption. And he really doesn't have control over the prices either, if NATO decides to give us less oil than we really "need", demand will go up, as will the prices.

What needs to happen is the entire Caspian Sea deal getting cleared up. There's supposed to be more oil under the Caspian Sea than under Saudi Arabia.. That's just what I've heard though.

And recently, the gas prices will rise because of the hurricanes and the bottomfeeding oil companies taking advantage of the crises and jacking up the prices. I'm shocked that the prices actually went down after the Katrina ordeal.

there is no one to blame for our high intake of oil other than each and every one of us greedy americans. im only saying that as the most influential man in the world maybe he can toss a few kudos towards alternative energies. however, i understand his position as a former oil company owner or whatever
