Ok, so, I've had D2HackitIt for quite a while now, and I havn't even bothered messing with packets... (I always just download modules so others can do the work for me), and now I want to be able to understand how packets work and all that junk... I got the Packet Identifier module, and... say I pick up an item from my inventory, and drop it to the ground, it says something about dropping things to the groud, then (17) - I think its 17... So, what is the 17 thing, is that the packet? And if so, how come when I type .send 17, while I'm holding an item over the game, it doesn't drop it... just C/I's me? If anyone knows where a good packet tutorial would be, please help!

Ok man, look there are no real packet tutorials that completly break down packet sending to where a 3 year old can understand it. This is because no one, maybe Blizz progs, understands packet sending, packets are very small bits of info that set off "flags" in the game, like when an item or gold drops, a packet is sent to B-net server that you just killed a monster, opened a chest, ect. and the sever sends back some other packets that determine what goodies come from that monster, chest, ect. Now on to y. ok D2 Hackit is based on packet sending, and as we all know the program is fairly unstable and buggy, this is because the there is no real "Written Code" for packets like there are for characters and items in the game. Therefore, in order to incorperate a new "Module" into D2 Hackit, some 1 has to sit there for hours on end and experiment, using trial and error. and find, isolate, and exploit the packet(s) that control whatever the hacker is trying to hack. that is y the world of packet sending expands so slowly and also y D2 Hackit is buggy and often fails tasks. Maybe in a couple of months some 1 will really figure out packet sending and we'll all be saved!!!!!! Until then the rookie Packet Hackers are SOL...........
