How much trouble does a zealer have w/ act 4 and iron maiden? How often do they get it cast on them and how long does it last? Is it possible to react fast enough once u got it on u and go to town and wait for it to go away? Also if u did take it slow, waiting for iron maiden to go away, how long would it take for one chaos run?

1. iron maiden+zeal= you die.
2. they cast it fairly often. but they seem to cast amp and decrep more
3. depends on the lvl of the monster how long it will last. just go to town and get it taken off by healer
4. if they cast it while you are zealing your screwed, but you might be ok if you get casted while you are just standing there
5. a long time. get it healed by the town healer instead of waiting for it to go away

iron maiden really sucks but when you get it casted one you run around the mages until they cast something dif on you since you can only have 1 curse at a time on you. if you can. Although if you zealing and they cast you your screwed

you can use a lot of things when IMed, just cant melee unless you want to die

HMM i dont find holy bolt that strong but i have never really put alot into it

why? go to town and get it removed. better yet DONT DO ACT4 WITH A MELEE CHAR. its just easier that way. since i am HCL, there is no way you will ever get me to do a4 (even normal) with a melee char

Use Cleansing aura. That'll remove the curse much faster.

If you have 100% damage reduction, Iron maiden will not harm you. I read that in a thread here somewhere. I haven't tried it myself, but I remember reading it. Like verdungos, ber ber coa, shaftstop, storm shield should easily put you over 100. Maybe some nice person with hero editer could test this to make sure?

Amp reduces physical damage resistance by 100, so if you had 100, it would cancel out.

Depends on difficulty and how much damage you do, higher difficulty, more damage returned. Usually if you have a good 3k damage, one zeal with it tends to kamikazi. Try to charge oblvis right away or smite them, stuns and if you get the curse, you will survive a hit or two.

Dr caps at 50% so it makes no difference anyway.

we're talking about the a4 iron maiden which has nothing to do with dueling. make a tp, walk to whatshisname in a4 town, like half a screen from tps and he will heal you(wait isnt that a chick?) takes like 5 seconds. whereas waiting for it to wear off takes like 2 mins(guessing)

IM v Zealer = death. End of discussion. There just no avoiding it. I always just make a pub game or get someone to clear CS for me. If you dont you can expect to die at least once going in and once for every "wing" of CS unless you play REALLY carefully and really watch out for OB Knights. Clearing CS that way can take up to an hour depending on how many times you have to run away and come back before you can kill them before they cast IM.

Well, since nobody seemed to care enough to do it, I tried it in a game with my zealer, and if you have over 100% dr, I/M does nothing to you. I did about 5 diablo runs to test it and had I/M cast on me several times. My merc however, did not fare so well. Max damage reduction from normal attacks is still 50%, but having over 100% kills iron maidens effect. Basically like "stacking" resists.

Another thing u can try is getting a necro wand that has hella elemental damage and low physical damage and when u get IM'ed just switch over and beat the crap out of them with the wand lol.
