Will it live up to expectations?

Saw the previews looks very good, but have we been waiting to long?

Your views please, personal i think it might land up being a disappointment also adding to the fact that blizzard have'nt been directly involved with the creation of ghost for sometime.

ppl have waited 3 long years and all my friends gave up alrdy
it still looks very ka but they really need to get it out now they did make a good choice pulling it back to add extra stuff
i still wish bungie did that 4 halo 2 (god its shitty! H2 needed way more work and the programers even said it themselfs!)
i will still buy it if and when it comes out some how i got the patience of a monk so a can hopefully wait even another year but if it does hit year four they should just scrap it then

I'm half and half on this, honestly. It's basically, from what I understand, a totally seperate game with the name Starcraft tagged on. It does look sweet, though. If we ever get the game in our lifetimes, I think it will sell well and will be quite fun for a while. I don't think it's gonna have the fun factor for so long like Starcraft though

It's not "totally" separate. It focuses on a Ghost battling Zerg and Toss...maybe Terran as well? But it is almost like picturing a story within a story. In the regular game of Starcraft, you build an army and go to war.

A game like Starcraft: Ghost...think of it as conducting missions within the larger war taking place. Instead of an all out war, you are taking out important targets as one person...While the army is out doing their own thing on the battle field.

I mean it's totally different gameplay wise than Starcraft. It's a MGS/FPS style game, right? Obviously it's starcraft oriented .. but it's far from the original Starcraft gameplay wise.

I doubt it'll do good with reviews. The technology showcased in the game is now old, it won't be anything cool once it comes out.

Yeah, like they did with Duke Nukem Forever...

Anyway, I think that it's going to be a letdown, simply because making a "better" Starcraft seems impossible to me... They would own all the sales... I don't think that it's going to be as good. Haven't had a look at the trailer, but if it's FPS, then I'm not too excited.

EDIT: If there's no PC version, I'm not even going to bother.

Its not a FPS from what I've seen, more of a 3rd person game, kinda like Splinter Cell, where you can go to FP at times.

i would of rather of them coming out with a starcraft 2 or world of startcraft than sc ghost i just dont think bliazzard can transition from pc to gaming systems they should stick to pc gaming but ill never know untill i test it out when it finnally comes out!!

well they were orginal a console game company, but as far as ghost goes its like a myth at the moment and at the rate blizzard is going myth is what ghost is going stay
