Final Fantasy Xi
#1
Ok Ok how many of you ps2 fans out there are gonna buy Final Fantasy XI????
Sadly enough I dont even own a ps2. But ive calculated it out...
-Ps2 (used): $140
-FFXI w/40gig plugin: $100
-Adapter: $40

So this averages around 300 bucks... hahaha, the price of a ps2 when it first came out :p

PS2's are awesome. best bang for the buck.. but i think it's agreeable that gamecubes blow. xbox's are ok, but the controller just doesn't fit into the mits like a PS2 one does.

Xbox contollers are fscked up, yes, and they only have a few good games. The makers of the good ones know that PS2 is where they will get more buyers. Also, you don't like FF, you can eat me. They rule. Not 10 1/2, mind you, but all the others (especially tactics) kick serious game ***.

ps2 contollers are too small, how about halo(the only reason to live) project gotham racing, star wars kotor, morrowind, any of tom clancys games, max payne, crimson skies, brute force, medal of honor(both) but not bloodwake that game sucked, just to name a few

project gotham: Suxorz due to its racing game nature
Tom Clancy: Also available for PS2
Medal of Honor: Also available for PS2
Halo: Decent
PS contollers: You can buy bigger ones, you lazy schmuck
THPS Games: Only on PS
DVD's: Dont need a remote to be able to watch em
James Bond: Better for PS2
Sphynx and the Cursed Mummy: Only on PS2

XBox loses, Gaccet.

FF XI came out for PC a few months ago. Wonder if you'll be able to play with the PC users when you play the PS2 version?

Ps2 is all about mostly violent games, xbox is like eh.., and gamecube is about little kiddy games w/o violence and such.

obviously you havent played need for speed underground. i played project gotham racing when it first came out as an x-box starter set game. 5 minutes of racing and 10 minutes of head on collusions with my friend and i havent touched it sense.

overall ps2 kicks ***. cant wait till ps3 comes out. that shit gonna be bout 500 bucks.

btw: need for speed underground kicks *** either on the ps2 or PC.

psx is comin out first and xbox2 will probably come out at the same time as a ps3 to compete and since microsoft is far superior to sony xbox2 will like its predecesor be better than a ps3, why do u think bill gates is the richest man alive, superior tech

Gaccett, Gaccett, Gaccett... You poor sod. The technology that Xbox uses isnt necessarily superior, or else they would dominate the gaming world, and the good games would be sold for XBox. Sony can buy an xbox if they think that theres something there they need put in a Playstation and modify it for their own sysytem, but (with the example of the PSX) sony choses to make their products smaller, faster, and more versitile then microsoft does...and you dont have to buy some stupid DVD kit for $20 dollars before you start to watch DVD's on you system.

Also, to all those idiots out there that think that the graphics for one system are better than others still:

The graphics depend on how much time is put in to them, not on the system you use. The sky is pretty much the limit nowadays. Anyone ever played the Abe's Oddworld games? Look at the video clips. Flawless. Absolutely flawless graphics....and that was for Reg. Playstation. Why were they so good compared to..say....Final Fantasy VII? Because the team at Oddworld Inhabitants put a hell of a lot more time into those games then squaresoft did theirs. Graphics for FFIX were decent, but still grainy..and Squaresoft has been getting better, but their policy of putting out as many games as possible, while getting them a lot more money then the OI's got, reduced the graphical quality of their games. And that's just how it is.

sony gaming has been around longer and has a larger fan base that why there are more games 95% of which suck, $20 for a kit is chicken scratch and u can get cheaper if u buy used, ever heard of bigger is better, its a fact that xbox is faster than ps2, u can even buy upgrades for a xbox system to make it overly powerful
graphics do depend on time to a certain degree but its mostly the tech used in creating them as well as processing them, ps2 has square graphics while xbox has a more rounded look making it better, i know ive played both systems, even n64 had better graphics than the original ps, again i know ive played both systems, oddworld had prety good graphics for sony but they still werent all that great compared to the average game on n64
