So here's the scam, when I've completed rushing up until forge they go through your tp and grab the hammer and open a tp. Then they just wait until you leave to pop the hellforge.
I've tried everything I can think of, I've tried to out wait them, I've tried to lure monsters around their tp, none of it worked. Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop these people?

are u saying that you just wait inside with a tp to hellforge and remain afk until the rusher gets bored and leaves?
There is one thing that i think could go wrong with this scam:
Once the rusher realizes what you're doing, he'll probably lure a shitload of monsters outside your tp, then leave.

Thats the fun of rushing people on a game that is mostly played by 12 year olds...so all you can do is deal with it.. get the game to drop somehow...if it bothers you that much.. don't rush anyone..

don't stop rushin... cuz then people like me who are honest are affected and i don't mind givin up my forge for someone's patience to rush me. of course i can give you this advice, rush because its fun not just for the rewards. when i get a character that can pwn all 3 difficulties i either pvp everyone or i give out free/forge rushes. you do it cuz the game is fun not cuz you might get a crappy rune.

I tried a ring with telekineses in charges lol - but it does not work with runes xD

some of you have made the mistake thinking he is trying to scam. from what i am reading it sounds like he is trying not to get scammed. i've seen a few strategies for not getting scammed out of forges when your rushing...the one i've seen that seems to have the best chance of working is not giving any waypoints till after you get the forge. this probably wont help if the person has a friend who can just give them the waypoints later though
really the only way you can prevent being scammed is to not rush people you dont know...and charging people you do know for rushes is kind of screwed up

rushing is pointless for a reward, all that time and u have a chance to gt an ist at best.

You can't stop someone from scamming, remember the IQ of the people you play with in this game, no one is trustable unfortunately. You have to live with it while playing this game, we are all tired of it. Sorry
And people please read the thread a bit before making assumptions.
Immortal I believe he/she is talking about rushing, not getting rushed.

well said tranq... and a way to stop gettin scammed.... dont rush em lol just rush ur friends for their forges
ask ur friends to let u do all their rushes and ull get the forge from them, unless they a @$$hole and want to keep for them selves then u just say plain and simple dont ask for another rush~

This isn't a scam. This is about being decent or not. Ofc u take a risk every time you rush... Pointless post
However to avoid getting scammed, and I do this EVERYTIME, is request for smthng as guarrantee. Then its up to the guy u are rushing to trust you or not and you can't really lose. Don't ask too much. A Mal or item of the same value is OK and most serious players will give it to you. If the HQ drop is better they may still keep it and leave you with the guarrantee, but getting nothing at all is worse.
People that will refuse to give you ANYTHING of value are probably gonna try to scam you anyway.

i dont rush for forges i just do it for fun and alonG the way i find some good stuff like i picked up a trap gc 3 hate keys from summoner on uswest ladder 1 rush.

its still sorta sad these days, i see hammerdins with no maphack or enigmas taking half an hour to rush people for their forges and then get ditched in act4. Another bad scam is that some people will trigger the forge drop and try to take the rune themselves. 50/50 chance i guess
