Mac compatible with any and all parts compatible with XP?

Topic. Buying a laptop and going to install Mac because I don't want XP. Will it work?

well i heard that apple will be switching their processors to intel (cant remember where i heard) so mac systems will be able to have windows OS installed well it should work with the same hardware) so the best bet would be to wait till apple comes out with an intel baised processor, then well, use apple... since it will be intel processors like with windows, they will both be at the same speed, 3 ghz or whatever depending on what model you get. that way if you decide to use windows you arnt up a creek without a paddle, and you already have apple on a faster based processor. my advice, wait, buy, enjoy

IMO, it's not worth it. Even when Apple abandons PPC, getting OSX to install will still be hard (and won't run as well as it will if you just got a Mac). You'll be better off either just buying a MAC in the first place or running Linux. A good distro for beginners is Ubuntu, I'd rather reinstall that than try to emulate/install OSX on a PC anyday.

Nope, they only sell Apple mp3 players and some accessories. You're best bet would probably be just buying it from Apple directly (especially if you have an Apple store near you), as they have good tech support (and will take a return on almost anything), unless it's much more expensive at another store, but I doubt it considering my friend who works at BestBuy says they only make about 20 bucks or something on their iPods.
