Diablo2 super laggy?

Does any one have a problem with diablo being super laggy? I havnt been able to play very much, on my comp since at least the new patch came out Because, the phone lines at my new house were screwed up. But now that there fixed all nice and stuff...i still cant play diablo very much because it lags way to much to actually play. Ill have bits where i can play interupted by a bunch of lag...is there something on my comp that may be causing this..like a certain setting or driver thats messed up. i have reformatted my computer since the last time i played so maybe that could have screwed it up. And could the warden be causing this since ive read about that too. I realise ive made this post longer then it actually needs to be but, w/e thanks for any help.

the only time i lag is during baal games i lag like crazy during them lol

i rarely get any lag on my dad's computer but on this computer i get a ton. it's pretty weird confused:

Lag is either with your computer, ISP, or the Warden.

On my computer I get a ton of lag, and the whole game will freeze up and I'll occasionally lose my connection. I also get a lot of 'Failed to join game' things on this computer.

could it be from the public duping method with the lag sequence? I don't know if that could affect all of us but if enough people are doing it....

I dont believe there is a "public" duping method out at this time. Although I KNOW for a fact that there are private dupe methods abounding as there are at least 4-5 people on another site who sell mass, and by mass I mean 50+ of each hr, a day easy. Even though I do not know what the duping method would/could involve but its most likely the cause of all the lag in D2 at the moment.
