Hell mephisto, what am i doing wrong?

Hey, i've been doing NM mephisto runs for a few weeks, some ok results, like skullders and the like, and now i began doing hell runs. To be frank, i haven't gotten anything. I was getting better drops in NM!!! I'm level 82 fire sorc with full tal's and 2 perfect nagels. My helm and Armor are socketed with p-topaz, and im using to p-nagels. I can't get crap! I've been getting sigon! Anyone know how to shake things up?

Patience.... I know the feeling, I used to complain about that as well. But if you hang in there, you will be getting better drops than in NM, definitely. Try Pindle for a bit maybe?

Yea, after about 50 runs i finally got a lidless Not that great, but worth keeping. Lotsa crap along the way.

Every game i do meph first, then pindle.... pindle gave me a T-gods, not that bad.

Yes i can. I go and kill meph, then pindle, then andy, then make new game and do it all over again. I only have like 300 MF tho.

OK OK, It's not what you are doing wrong it's your equipment. From the sound of it, you have MF in the 400's or higher. Mephisto drops best when you are using 275 MF, because it makes your Unique MF, Set MF, and Rare MF all very close so the chances of him dropping are the best.

this is highly debated, it takes longer to kill meph when there is more people, which usually makes drops of lower quality cause drops usually depend on how fast he dies.

Wtf is with meph lately, hes been dropping major crap for me and i have 508% mf on switch,i kill in 10 or less seconds with fb sorc. Ive found 2 ss in 5 min's off him but now its all crap

Okay, this is a common issue. More mf only makes the drops better. There is no "special bracket" or limit to where mf is positively correlated to be better than higher level mf drops. More mf is always better. The only thing is that the more mf you put on, the less effect the EXTRA mf has. So for example these were the mf tables for 1.09 (I still can't find any 1.10, anybody?)

Magical is full, Rare/Set/Uniques are less.

As you can see, the percentages get better as you put more mf on, but not as much as when you put your first 100% mf on.

The other point about more people: More people in a game means the monster, or Meph in this case, have larger drops. That means more items drop per kill, but it has NO effect on the quality (i.e. if it is magical rare, set or unique).

Thanks for clearing that up i keep hearing all these ppl with there special # bracket and i'm like wtf no... i find better shit now with 700 mf then i ever did w/234... the only thing is to make sure that your mf equipment isn't limiting your dmg.... my 86 uses tpz skullders/tpz shako/wizspike/lidless/goldwrap/wartravs/p chancies/2 pnagels/mf sc's/rising sun ammy... with "rhyme" grim and 2x ist'd ali babas as 2ndary wep selection... oh and don't forgot p gheeds.. and now you have fcr up the ***.... sooooo hell meph goes down in 10 seconds or so... (lets not forget his little minions.. it's where i've gotten ALL of my killer jewels) with around 700 mf... now i get all my shit not because i have mungo mf... but because i do this for HOURS... just a tip

Yea, i play with a guy that has about 800 MF, we find all the good drops then. He has 4 ist shield, 2 ist alibaba, shako? ist, i forget what he wears for armor, 2 p nagels, p war travs, p chance guards.

i cant c how u can get ur MF up that high, what do u use to get it up that high?

6 sock ist armor = 180
alibab w/ 2 ist = 160 + or something
4 sock shield = 120
Nagels = 60
War travs + chance guards = 100
Shako w/ ist = 100 or something
ammy = 35

i dont remember everytyhing he has, but it's like just before 800. It's sweet. Good drops everything!

how can armor be 6 soc? ptravs and pchance only go up to 90. shako is 75. the max u can get on alibaba is 149

dont know if this is relevant, but my necro has around 130 mf. he found 2 ormus, shaft, skullders on hell meph in 15 minutes in 1 player games. havent id'ed nething yet so dont know the quality of the items

yeah all my mfing is in priv games... but i assume ur friend probably uses Pchancies=40, PWarTravs=50, Ptpz Skullders=Depends on lvl, Ptpz Shako=74, Goldwrap=30, pnagels=60, 6ist'd crystal sword, 4 ist'd monarch, and rare 30+% mf ammy? lets not forget charms... my friend (all he does is mf pretty much..which seems boring but i don't mind, i get stuff for free from him ) just fills up his inventory w/37 7%mfsc and a p gheeds and has his friend follow him around picking up drops 4 him.... the previously listed equip is what he uses... and w/the sc's i don't even know how much he's got.... well lemme work the math real quick............... just over 1k... 1,002 mf... so... (not including merc... if he wanted to i suppose he could use his eth tomb reaver, it's got 78mf 3 soc... *if he ist'd it..another 168 mf* then another of his tpz skullder's.... and 2tpz griz corona... another 78mf... w/a lvl 85 merc... right there u've got another 342mf... sooooo 1,344 mf!!! he could just static the hell out of meph then let the merc take him... jesus.... well i'll go suggest this to him lol
