I did 6k and I did fine, just don't try to solo them cause you wont be able to. Have a hammerdin or another zealer with you.

Attack Rating is the key

You can have 30k DMG and AR like 2000 and hit meph with 30% chance and you'll get onwed. Better only 4 or 5k DMG but a chance to hit of 75%...btw, Schaefers is good afaik...has static field...pwnz meph....

Actually, you could do less than 1K damage and still destroy them. The key is Crushing Blow.

I once had a Smiter who was filled with resistance items, including Silence phase blade. The damage output couldn't have been more than 2K.

but u think it would work for a zealer too because a smiter is more powerfuler than i zealer atleast thats what i heard...

I could be wrong.

A smiter can have 14k dmg as far as I know. So more powerful than zeal. The key is, that smite does ALWAYS hit. So I said that AR is VERY important if you want to do it with a zealer.

Well, 14K is only possible with a total overkill build, meaning you put all stat points into strength (~500 with gear on), and use Fortitude and Phoenix. Typically, PvP builds deal about 8K damage. Okay, that's not related to the topic.

Yes, it can easily be done with a Zealot. I've done it myself, but what happens is that I find myself using Smite most of the time. Yes, a 1-point Smite. It works.

Calculated? Not even 5K. On-screen? Not even 1K. Yet, the fact that it always hits, and Life Tap, and a tiny bit of CB, was all I needed.
