ok well my friend was xfering his eth stone. His comp screwed up( i think from logging off and on to quick) and it took him like 10minutes to get back on. I was afk the whole time in the game. When he went to get his eth stone it was gone. Nobody entered the game and i didnt touch it. The eth armor was just found and all the runes were from forging. I don't know why it poofed, thought items didn't do that anymore.

Items left on the ground DO dissapear quite quickly. This does happen, cuz this has happened to me before too. Next time let ur friend give u the stone to hold.

oh thats what i thought happened. But all the other stuff he put on the ground didn't disappear

this only happens with runewords, make sure to not leave on ground!

at least it was only a stone.. could have been worse... like my 5 bo cta and 3 nigmas... i was xfering myself (2 comps) n i decided to just go afk for like 15 min to eat thinking it would be ok... but damn was i wrong lol... w/e stuff happens ya know?

not only runewords will dissapear
if you lay 10 items on the ground after about 10 mins
1 item will dissapear and around 4-5 mins another item will dissapear

It depends on the items. I was xfering alone 2 days ago, put about 7 charms on the ground and some rings and amulets. i was afk because I had to do some thing and when I came back all the charms were gone but amulets and rings were still there.

yeah my friend thinks its because he just made the stone so it poofed. All the other items had for some time i guess. Cause he ws gone for a good 15-20minutes. That only thing that poofed though.

Items start poofing after 5 mins, gold will stay much longer -

yeah items start poofing after being on ground. But runes poof much faster I tested it out left a few low runes on the ground for about 5 minutes they poofed and also i droped a amulet it was there for about 10minutes till it poofed for some reason the more you drop the faster they poof thats why if i am x-fering alot I do 1 char at a time.

Unfortunetly this is true, items left on the ground do poof. I guess it is Blizzards way of trying to prevent lag in PvP games with all of the ears.

I xfer whole characters equipment alone with one comp in one game. i MEAN All the time. ive never had anything poof. i figure if its really important to me i get the job done asap i even xfer all the charms at the same time take 5 mins tops... reefers..laugh:
