ladder isn't like hc jesus... it's no harder than non-ladder we just started from scratch .. but duel me 2day dragon i wanna c ur psn nec against mine

I play on usa east ladder, where finding a shako and such is pretty hard, i've got over 100 pit runs with my lvl 80 neccy who has around 300 mf (which is plenty in the pit) and the best drops i've managed is an ethernal bonehew, non ethernal titans, and an atmas. Sorry if there is any confusion, ladder is alot harder than non tho.

Try doing nm runs. Nm runs are way faster and easier, and your chances of finding an soj is better in nm. An soj will get you just about any item you want on ladder. There are a lot of good exceptional, and a few elite, items in nm. The only shako I've found on ladder came from a nm baal run.

If you want to get rich fast, hell Meph is still the way to go. Get some source of teleport for your nec. Naj's staff is pretty easy to obtain. A teleport ammy will work nicely too. If you happen to be a summoner, do nm Meph runs until you come across the unique Yari. Socket this weapon with 3 shaels, give it to your Act 2 merc, and watch him light up hell Meph. Time yourself on how long it takes you to kill Meph with your merc using an eth Bonehew and compare it to the time it takes you to kill Meph with your merc using the 3 shael Yari. Don't let the low damage on the Yari fool you. Who said summoners were slow at killing bosses?

yeah the yari fooled me being such useless low dmg, but crushing blow isnt based on dmg now is it

a 3 ber is more useful for the yari, but you can also try finding any 6 soc polearm or spear with fast ias, and put 5 bers and 1 shael (if your rich)
use gaze and shaft, maybe something else for armor

Crushing blow is like a sorc's static, but applied to physical attacks. Every crushing blow you land will reduce the monster's hit points by a certain percentage. The percentage is determined by the monster type. There's more info on crushing blow near the middle of this page. An upgraded eth ribcracker is pretty insane too if you ever come across one.

I have the ethernal hew socketed with a 38 ED and a Shael, and my merc (A2 Might) does something around 2k dmg with it which does quite well. For i used my barb for forever on nm runs and nothing great has ever dropped, if i were to guess i'd say i killed mephy in nm about 800 times and hell about 150 times with 2 babas, 4 top'd armor, ik helm, goldwrap, 2 nagels, 40 mf ammy, and chance guards. I haven't really gotted anything spectacular despite doing runs for 4+ hours before i go into work. Anymore my method of obtaining items is rushing nm for HF runes (which is just sad). I don't know what it is, i just can't seem to get mfing down, the biggest problem is i can't do group games, my comp is a 3 year old HP and i'm on 56k (no cable in my area ) so any drops i manage i never get to first. I guess i'll never quite get this mf thing. Btw i've only been playing for about 3 months so if i seem frustrated with this game i am lol.

woops mis read one of the post. but farva. mind helpin me on non ladder us east. having a hell of a time getting my mf barb goin. so i thought maybe to start a fire sorc. but i have nothin and its been a while since i play d2 and just starting back.
