Virus Protectors...

Is there anywhere that I can just download a free virus protector that is actually good? No free trial or anything, full thing. I have Adware-SE Personal and Norton right now.

http://www.microsoft.com offers a good anti-spyware program that also detects some viruses and some adware. Norton blows, get rid of it. A simple Google search of AntiVir XP will bring up a link to a really good AV program, too.

Ewido ( http://www.ewido.net/en/ ), AntiVir XP ( http://www.free-av.com/ ) and MS AntiSpyware are all good programs. It's best to have a couple scanners in case one picks up something the other missed. Just don't enable all the background guards one all of them as some will conflict with each other.

I already downloaded PCMightyMax, did anyone ever have this one? Is it good? As in does it tell you when viruses appear and then you can delete it right then and there?

EDIT: Alright, nevermind. Im downloaded Avast. Now as said up there, does it show when a virus is coming in so you can delete it there? And its not a trial right? I can use it forever and not order anything?

I've never heard of it. That doesn't mean it's not good but it's not accredited it seems. Just follow the links Spaz and I provided. All the programs we mentioned are accredited as being among the best.
