ok well since when was nilithak immune to lightning?! or is it a random immunity cause i teled all the way there just to see that he was immune to lightning so my merc went up to kill him and got nigged but corpse explosion.

No lightning is a random immunity that Nilithak can have - I know this for sure because I use my lite sorc to do key runs, and every once in awhile he is immune and my merc must waste him instead of me.

Nilithak has random immunities, yes you are correct RaZzor. I would Nith with my cold sorc, and upon getting there would cast blizz, if he dies, then good! if not, well, new game then.

Doing it with a hammerdin is best imo, but if u can get a lite sorc w/ conviction, or just a good merc to tank the hits, go for it.

well the thing is my merc can kill easy but corpse explosion takes chunks of his health.

get nats peace to reduce the CE. and yea, everyone that said that he is randomly immune is correct. i've had him fire immune, cold immune, lite immune, fire+cold immune, cold+lite immune, and fire+lite immune. so he seems to be randomly immune to 0-2 elements.

If I were You, I wouldn't use a sorc. My wind druid can tele to Nihlathak and waste him in under than 1 minute in an 8 player game.

so if i used natures peace whenever i killed a monster he wouldn't be able to explode the corpses right? lol that'd make it so easy.

merc setup if u were poor:
eth insight collosus voulge/thresher/crptic/other elites
Leviathan Kraken shell
Vampire Gaze

merc setup if u were rich
Eth infinity cryptic axe (collosus if u have enough strength)
eth fortitude (around 2.5 k defense is good)
Dream helm bone visage/other elietes (eth if u wanna more def but i would go noneth)

ok my merc has fine stuff. i would actually like doom to freeze all other monsters. But would the natures peace ring prevent him form using corpse explosion?

forget doom and just have a nm a2 def merc. and no nats peace doesnt help for when merc kills

yeap hes immune to something random everytime, not all the time tho
