Tower Defence maps

Does anyone know where I can get good Tower Defence maps from? I just started playing Starcraft again after a lon, LONG break (about 4 years) so any help would be appreciated, since I am not at all familiar with the communities up on the net. I would also be glad if anyone could upload some kind of mappack or something.

dont bother looking for maphacks if you're just playing user settings
most of the time the whole map will be shown
just play the games and after a while you'll get an idea of which games are good and which are bad. look for game names that include "defense" or "D" in it and you should be fine

Yes, as Jedi said. I mean I would like some TD maps to play together with my friends while I'm getting my new key. Also, I prefer playing TD maps with my friends over a private network to playing with random people on bnet. We use Ventrilo etc, so it's actually a lot more fun, because if You organize it well, You can beat a 8 player TD map with 3-4 people.

anyway, just play a little on bnet and you'll get some good maps
minitown, cannon d, etc

The problem with SC tower d maps is that all towers will eventually freeze some time during the game. Bunkers, cannons, sunkens, and spores will all freeze. I have no idea why, but thats just why they're not as popular as in WCIII. Good luck tho.

BTW, the tarpit and hmg defense games are pretty good too.

The thing about freezing is gay too... to much unit in the game... something like passing the limits that's why i don't like those Stack D games... freeze way to often

I don't know what you guys are talking about, a TD map has never frozen for me blank:. But yeah, Ventrilo makes such games so much more fun, I use it when playing CS, SC and DOTA.

then you proly havent played the ones where you build TONS of towers
but yeah i havent played SC in a long while but i remember the best was stacked cannon defense or somthing like that,you could "turn off the lights" and place your towers ontop of eachother i usualy went protoss or zerg ....well yeah its awesome you should try it out if your gonna go back to sc

just go on bnet and enter a game and wait for it to dl itself, or are u wanting to play alone or something? and wtf is ventrillo...

I pretty much got it solved now, because a friend of mine gave me his sc keys, so I didn't actually have to go to the store to get new ones. But usually, I play with my friends on a local area network, that's why I needed a mappack.

Ventrilo is a program with which you can speak to other people on the internet. It's much more efficient than typing all the time.

Slightly off-topic here...but yes, freezing is caused by too many units and/or buildings attacking at once. Consider this:
There is a limit to how many units/buildings can attack at the same time. If this limit is exceeded, then freezing will occur.
