Orb Sorc Skills

hey, i was wondering what else to add for an orb sorc skills, i have maxed orb, cold mastery, and ice bolt, and 1 into tele, lightning storm, lightning mastery, and warmth, what else do i need?

uuhhhh u shouldnt of got the cold mastery :/ it dosent do much shoulda just used 1 point, 1 point into ES(energy shield), 1 into shiver armor and the lite skills that bloodangel26 suggested

wrong, cold mastery does A LOT. it might not need to actually to be maxed unless you are pvp, but you need at least like 10-15 into it

and does that "reduces enemies resistences to cold" actually do anthing for pvm?

no it dosent 1 point is all thats needed

less resistance means u take more damage

cold mastery does help it just doesn't add damage to ur actual ice bolts

ok...sandman, you have no idea what you are talking about...let me put it this way. cold mastery reduces your target's resistance. so if you have enough pts in CM to have -%100 to enemy cold resistance, you will do double the damage you normally would. cold mastery will add huge amounts to your cold damage, you just wont be able to see it

and yes mob, it does LOTS in pvm

if u have infinity and a good enough cold mastery, u can cancel out the "cold immune" in some monsters. all u need to calculate is how much % resist the monster has and how much ur mastery+aura takes off

i would go telekeniticus (w/e on sp) + energy shield combo

ts+lm does less than 2k dmg

hehe you are giving wrong info again sandman...tstorm sucks...i dont even bother getting it when i make lite sorces...let alone cold...this is what i do: i max in this order; orb, cold mastery, ice bolt, telekenisis, then the rest i put into shiver armor. i might throw and extra point or 2 into eshield, depending on where it is at with equipment.

whats the big deal about telekenisis?? in my opinion it sucks.. even though it says that ES recieves bonuses from telekisis, it still does nothing. im basing this off of this website that lets you see skills. http://www.d2items.com/skills.php

it adds damage reduction and it helps a lot.. im not bothering to go see what that site says... u cant see the dr but trust us its there

off topic...

but anyways, i had a nice long post typed out about telekenisis and why it is useful, but it apparently did not make it thru all the server lag going on lately. oh well, the point was, telekenisis makes eshield absorb more damage per point loss of mana. check www.battle.net for the exact details
