i have adobe photoshop 8.0 and image ready cs 8.0 and i dont know how to use it at all... >.<

What do you want to learn? I learned by myself...just trial and error

I want to know how to put pictures of things [usually characters] on strange backgrounds and add cool text to it.

It's pretty easy...just use the laso tool (on the toolbar on the left side by default) and cut out the image then simply use the move tool (same toolbar) then click and drag to the empty one to and use a pattern for the background (use menu on the right that shows the layers of your canvas then right click the background and modify it...if it's locked just copy it and delete the locked one)

Okay, sorry but this is the only one I got here, I would take more, but lighting is crap. I will give 500 points to whoever makes me one that I can use. You don't even have to use these pictures, just remember I like ducks, I like anime as well.

You have to use layers. Take one layer, add the character, then make another one and make a background. Then, make another one and make a cool text you want. Then, push a button to zap them together.
