I was thinking, cold mastery cannot peirce immunes, but if you socket an item with a cold facet, then that monster will not be immune, making cold mastery work and mass wtfpwnage of the monster?

No i doubt that would work, just -5% cold resis isn't going to cut it i think... but of couse Convictions subtract more Maximum resistance if i'm not mistaken

It will work but it wont be alot of damage. Plus it will not work on super uniques(bosses) like eld or shenk or meph or any of them.

yea, and if u don't believe us try a game wtih foh paly using conviction. see how much dmg they are taking

Conviction would work but they'd still have high resis to that element meaning you COULD do damage but you won't kill them as fast

No my idea was that since cold mastery doesn't work on cold immunes use a cold facet which makes -5 res on the monster, then making cold mastery work, -100 or so res off the monster, then that means you can do deadly damage to any monster, but I don't know what you guys are talking about.
