Sadly, I've finally given in to World of Warcraft.. Before I buy it tomorrow, I need to ask a few questions that experienced played should have no problem answering.
1. Is the Laggage rumors true?
2. Im on 56K, but Im sure it wont lag, since I play GW without Lag, anyone have 56K or know someone with it to tell me if it will lag or not? {My computer is awesome, Which is a factor}
3. Say I have a level 55 Tauren Shaman on a Non-PVP Server, could I transfer him to a PvP Server without hassle?
4. Is there alot of idiotic children on World of Warcraft? I mean, the types of children whose parents have alot of money to blow off.

Let's see...
1. I have VERY little lag unless I'm flying into a main city, and that's just for a few seconds.
2. 56K is always a risk on these games, so I wouldn't be comfortable telling you anything. My advice: If you can afford an awesome computer and WoW, you can probably afford better internet. Being on 56K is just being stingy.
3. Switching servers is all but impossible, unless they open up a bridge for new servers, which is pretty rare (as far as I know).
4. I would suggest never playing Alliance. There are a lot more Alliance people, which means a ton more spoiled little brats. Also, be wary of Barrens chat.
I'd suggest joining a Norm server, because getting ganked is horrible and Norm is basically the same thing without constant PvP mode.

Plus, Im going for a Tauren Warrior first, is that a good starting off character?

warrior is a good class cuz you can be damage dealer or a tank but the problem is most warriors are broke and warriors are basicaly 100% gear dependant when it comes down to it

1. Every online game lags, but Blizzard is planning on buying some great new servers soon.
2. 56k might be a problem, unless you live really close to Irvine, CA (that's where most of the servers are located.)
3. No. Just roll PvP and get it over with.
4. Yes =\

I play on Argent Dawn. But that is a roleplaying server. Not too many roleplay here though. But I suggest NEVER coming here. The login queue is over 600 at times. The only way I have benefited from those queues, is learning how to spell queue correctly.

1. Server population is a big factor in determining the lag you will experience. The server I play on, Blackrock, has a reputation for being the most morbidly overpopulated realms with queues regularly exceeding 300(we also broke the queue record out of all servers breaching 1300!). The advantage of this, though, is that BG queues are short, given that there are so many players.
3. No.
Vice versa is possible but it is considered unfair to be able to transfer from a PVE to PVP server as you wouldn't have experienced levelling up in the same way, in that it would have been easier. I feel this is fair, having lvled my main to 60 on a PvP server getting corpse camped, heavily affecting my leveling rate.
4. This game is full of egotistical fgt nubs trying to boost their e-peen. If you want maturity in your gaming, you won't find much here. Once again, this is highly server dependant and there are still a few good peeps around.

1. NO i have a dsl 284 and I don't even lag a little.
2. If you have a good computer with good ram then you don't have to buy new internet connection you won't even lag a little with like 1GB of ram.
3. I think that this is not possible I mean that when you change server don't you have to create a new character?
4. At all games there are such guys like those idiotic kids.NONE doesn't have.

Everything Nub said was just about perfect.
He did however, neglect to mention that the best start off character would be a Shaman or, if you prefer alliance.........a paladin, since they can heal themselves with spells AND first aid. If you don't enjoy caster or combo classes, try a rogue, theyre great because you start off with a nice dodge rate, and you can stealth. Also, Rogues IMO are the least gear dependent class on WoW.

Rogues? I think mages more fit that description. They are a great first class, especially on a PvP server because you have snares to runaway if you get attacked while lvling up, and you can make your own food+water. And they are the least gear dependant as well IMO.

You can use shit items as a rogue, but you'll never get the crits or the dps if you don't have good items.
Any spellcaster is the least gear dependant, because all INT does is boost their mana and give a small +% to spell crits. Usually spellcasters have at least enough mana to take out a couple guys before a drink.

at low levels as a rogue, you have gouge and sprint. as for making your own food and water, no big deal its called /1 can a mage make me some food please?

I think you misunderstood. I meant you'd never get the crits or DPS you would with better items with the craptastic items.
