i meant as in if star wars fought star trek...
you've seen retune of the jedi right the reblic vs vader's fleet that size difference the empire can vastly out number the federation easily they have hundreds of ships eith enough firepower to bombard a planet to hell
the federation has like 14 ships

DS9, over 400 fed ships vs about 1000 dominion ships. then the klingons get in on it. the fed does have about 900 ships, just spread out over an area

I've actually read an essay that cited material from the Star Wars and Star Trek tech books and according to statistics officially published one Star Destroyed could take out pretty much the entire Federation fleet before the Federation could even penetrate it's shields.
In terms of siz Venom is right...the Star Wars universe is gigantic in comparison to what I know of Star Trek. With all the comics and novels, since George is less up tight about canon, Star Wars has a much richer background in my opinion.

yes, but that is because star trek tries to be "realist" they are only a few centuries ahead of us, and they would not have such a fan base if they said a quaddrillionbillioninfinity geggawatts of power to the sheilds! they try to make it seem that it would actually be possible for this technology. plus, alot of the technologies used in startrek are not as far as some people think from reality

In Star Trek it's too much of large powers against equally larger or larger powers where as Star Wars focuses alot on the average Joe becoming a hero or small groups doing great things. I think that's what I like about Star Wars so much more, being able to relat to the characters more.

I'm quite sure that the federation has more than 400 ships as th federation territory is quite large (over 8000 light years) so i think that they have over 2000 in service (thee reason why they only had 400 during the war is that some ships are too fare or cant leave everything unguarded)
star trek vs star wars...i say that star trek will win cause the federation is VERY smart it'll find a weak spot.. a star destroyer cant do much but it can destroy ships
the Death Star is the only vessel powerful enough to invade the federation but alas it also has a weak spot so star trek wins

According to the techinical manuals a Star Destroyer could destroy a Sovereign class ship in pretty much one shot...

i hate star trek with a passion,just like star wars. When a new movies comes out for it,all you see for miles is nerds dressed up like chewys and vaders looking like complete morons.

Will can't act. Bottom line. I think he knew how much he sucked and went so over-the-top to hope it would catch on. It did and he is a millionare, but I still don't like the show. Very bad special effects, but you can't judge that on such an old show.
TNG
One of the two I really do like. The cast is good, storyline is good, the show is getting tired when it comes to special effects and stuff, but it is nowhere near as bad as the original.
Deep Space 9
Space stations - boring. Cast - sucks. Enough said.
Voyager
I don't know what it is about Voyager, I just don't like it.
Enterprise
The second Star Trek I actually enjoyed watching, a shame it only lasted as many seasons as it did. Oh yes, and Tupal is still the #1 Star Trek babe = D (part of geeks wet dreams worldwide I guess, wonder how she feels about it)
Movies: I liked the final TNG movie and the Revenge of Khan.

The deflector shields in Star Wars are extremely powerful and the Millenium Falcon is heavily modified...also Han Solo is very strong in the force and would have been trained as a Jedi had the order not been destroyed.

yes... star trek maybe needs the entire Borg army to even slow the star wars invasion
but your forgetting peace they will negotiate a treaty so they have a large base in the alpha quadrant but not fire on the star ships
the federation can stand more than one hit.. they are quite small compared with the star destroyers
i agree that death star can destroy planets but so can starfleet (orbital bombardment)
and if they really do invade every other race will help to defend there galaxy (eg every single race-- helped by Q)
BTW it does not mention hull strength or internal force Fields...
