Additional Comment:
i must add DONT BUY COMPUTER PARTS FROM DEPARTMENT STORES!!!!
reason: YOU ALMOST PAY DOUBLE ON WHAT ITS REALLY GOIN FOR
it dont hurt to shop around. i suggest www.newegg.com www.geeks.com www.xoxide.com www.pricewatch.com www.tigerdirect.com
you will find good deals on name brand parts i kno i order my computer business parts off line and i save shit loads.
Additional Comment:
another thing what ever you do do not buy DELLS! or GATEWAY! their a pain in the ass and parts are expensive their like disposable cameras cheap but you have to buy them like crazy so get a custom computer like going from disposable camera to digital lasts longer worth the extra money

What's the point of have 10k RPM hard drives?
@Razmeth: I was looking at that case when I was building my computer but decided against it. I like it though, although you have way too many LEDs.

That's cool, I think I'll tell my brother to do that because we have people over and drink and watch movies a lot. That would make shit a lot easier...

oh... + my processor isn't working right, so it runs at 1600mhz, great. I'm pissed now... someone should PM me on how to make a 2.8Ghz P4 Mobile work to its maximum compassity in a pc.
I just got this computer in december, and it's not worth a shit. Seeing other peoples computers that are nice... pisses me off.

AMD Venice @ 2.7GHz 1.475v
2GB of OCZ DDR400 Platinum at 500MHz effective.
7800GTX SLI, slightly overclocked to about 470/1400
200GB WD raid 1 array.
Audigy2 ZS.
(Mind you, most of the parts were bought over a year ago, the proc is new.)
Lappy:
i9300
1.73GHz Dothan @ 0.988v (Wewt!)
2GB of Patriot CL4 @ PC2-4200 speeds.
6800 Go baby! Running @ 364 Core, 735 Memory.
Seagate 7200.1 100GB drive.
Again, this thing is over a year old. =\
I really should get a new lappy.

You may have to force the clock settings in the BIOS. I don't know the model of your P4 so I can't give you much more than that.
