That's funny because as far as rappers go, Biggie was one of the best out there. He can rhyme and flow to the equivilant of Dimebag on guitar. You're just biased because you only like metal....


Music is music. I don't like a lot of it but I don't hate any of it. All the bands you guys listed are making lots of money and getting lots of ass. That's the goal of the weak pop bands.. ass and chicks and paychecks. I'm not a hater, I respect anyone who goes platinum and does a playmate. Wish I was in their position.

I'm with Tool I hate pretty much all the bands listed other than the three favorites Mutta listed. I knew there was a reason why I tolerate some of the people on this site, despite the massive ignorance that is portrayed on this site there is at least some good taste.

The thread says worst 'bands' I don't think any of these guys had a band, unless you consider a no-name person in the background mixing together different tracks they made on a $300 electronic keyboard. These guys and their 'posse' were too busy smoking pot and shooting at eachother to be bothered to learn an instrument.

I agree with you. People complain that metal is all about screaming incomprehensible words, but at least metallers don't bark like dogs. I heard this rap song a while ago, and there was a guy barking like a dog in it.

Well, around this area theres an incredible death metal / hardcore band called Elysia, and they bark like dogs... But thats beside the point.
The bands I dislike most,
1!atD. Just lame..
2:The Killers. Over rated, and lame.
3:Hatebreed. Racist... And lame.
As for what xDBD said in an early post, about biggie being a great rapper, and metal heads being biast and only liking metal, thats completely right. I could go on, but I dont want to flame. =)

I like bands for their creativity. Anything that that doesn't sound like 90% of whats already out there. Also for bands that have good lyrics, here recently I have taken a liking to Blue October's 'Hate Me.' But bands I don't like...

1.Disturbed -- I'm sorry, their lead singer is just too much a dolt for me to like the music. Also all his songs sound too much alike for me.
2.Prodigy -- Is this a band? Anyways I hate them alot becuase for some reason the only rock station here in town think they jam or something and play them all the time
3.Gorillaz -- Again.. are these guys a band or do they just do mixes?

And next up are my favorite *recent* bands (I listen to lots of old stuff most the time)

1.Audioslave - I am a huge Soundgarden fan, and hated the lead signer of Rage. So when they both broke up and made Audioslave I was stoked, and their first two CDs did not disappoint.
2.Shinedown - I know they sound a bit like everything else that's out there, but they have solid lyrics and their remake of Simple Man is pretty good.
3.White Stripes - Talented. Jack White has his own style that you'll either really like or really hate, and I happen to like it.

Noshit I'm biased. I am expressing my own opinion here. All opinions are biased one way or another.

But do you acknowledge his talent? I don't like the whole "rap is talentless" shit. I'd love to see you rap haters flow like Sage Francis or Biggie Smalls. Google up a song like Makeshift Patriot or Juicy. They have great groove and the rhymes are killer, and with most good rappers, they actually present a very good point and opinion. Just because they can't play a million notes a second on a guitar doesn't mean they aren't talented.


If you think mixing beats is easy, please.. download Goldwave or Fruity Loops and make a beat that you can groove too. Please? I dare you. It ain't easy and it takes a lot of creativity, patience, love for the art (all music is art, if you disagree with that, you're the fxckin' dolt), and skill. Practice, too.

When you pump out a Juicy, Makeshift Patriot, or Happy Pills.. anything someone can dance and groove too, let me know. I'm sure i'll be waiting a lifetime.

Walk a mile in someones shoes before you bash something.


Also, please go up against the local rap scene in a freestyle. You will get crushed sooo fast. Good rappers and freestylers can't be toutched in the rhyme game.
