I'm sorry I almost had Coke come up through my nose when I read this. Most of the hardcore kids out here stay away from metal shows know because of what happened the last time our crowds mixed.

SInce I see you're from California, you ever to LA for shows? Everytime I've seen a kid try to hardcore dance in a pit he's thrown out...and I don't mean he was asked to leave the venue I mean somebody threw his ass out of the pit.

I'm in northern CA. So I go to roseville / sac shows... And I dont think I've ever seen a hxc kid get thrown out... Theres an animosity / cattle decapitation show coming up, I might go see that and see if I see any hxc kids get they ass kicked.

Behemoth or Dimu Borgir could be comparible with like, As I Lay Dying, or whatever other harcore bands people listn to these days. I dont even know what to call like..silverstien and atreyu and such. The style is completly different, although people try to put them together because of the singing.

I've no issue with people listening to, enjoying, and backing up rap (and surrounding genres), but keep your arguments logical.

Can you metalheads define music? Do you define it as distorted guitar oritented music with fast tempos and solos in every song? If not you guys have succeeded in being the omst closed minded group of music fans ever. Even if that's how you define music, well, that's closed minded in itself.
That seems to be the case, anyway. Music has been around as long as we have and the funny thing is, Marshalls haven't.

Its a matter of respecting all music. And respecting the fact that they're making money for something you say you could do no problem. Respect for music sure...respect for people who view it as an art form and make it to express themselves artistically give something to people that they can enjoy. Most of these gangster rappers are just out there for the "bitches and benjamins" as they constantly "sing" about. That I cannot respect.

I'm very tempted to type out a big speech about what I think about music itself, but I'd rather just list 3 bands and go to bed.
1. Yellowcard - Don't even attempt to explain to me how you can rock out with a Violin player in the band, habitually.
2. Linkin Park - I'm not gonna lie, I liked them when Hybrid Theory came out. But since then, my view and music in it's entirety has drastically changed (for the better). Either way, they've milked their fans more than I've seen any band do. So many renditions of the same songs...whether they're played somewhere different, have a guest artist, or are slightly "remixed".
3. My Chemical Romance - Straight to the point here: I don't like any of these new "emo" bands. But that isn't the main reason I don't like MCR. I hate them because they have ruined more than enough Misfits songs, and I like Misfits. Glenn Danzig should be furious.

My theory on Linkin Park is if you take the albums they have that are actually albums and not remixes and you rearranged them seperating the good songs from the bad you'd have one really good album and one really bad album.

Why in gods ****ing name do you idiots skip my posts? Do you think I don't know what I'm talking about? I've used a studio before to record my guitar tracks and i've also worked with an amateur beat mixer. Which one was harder and more frustrating and time consuming?
It took me max 5 minutes to lay down each part/solo because I went in there knowing what I was going to play and I ripped it out, because I know how to play my instrument.

To be honest I think this time it was you not reading. If you go into something with passion and you see your music as more than a get rich quick scheme then I can respect you as musician, if you go into music just because have the ability to rhyme at high speeds and you want to get rich for writing songs about how greedy and retarded you are then I have no respect for you. For me it's about what's behind the music that brings about respect, though talent commands alot of respect as well.
