Simple question?

i was wondering if "D2MultiTool-lite(2)" would still work. it was postred last year so i dont know if it was for .10 or .11 thanks.

I would not trust it. To run multiple copies I suggest D2Loader

If part of the URL is stared out, replace it with n-e-w-d-2-e-v-e-n-t (no -).

Download the latest version. On that page will be instructions on how to run multiple copies of Diablo 2 (You will need more then one set of CD keys, if you look on that site there is a link to a file with a list of nearly 1000 diablo 2 CD Keys, some are banned but you can try those, it is the first link underneath Diablo2 download).

I have heard of other ways of doing it without D2Loader, I will get back to you.

D2Loader will not get you banned. In case you wanted to know. Whether or not they will ban you if they find out you used it to run multiple Diablo 2s, that I do not know.

Well i saw that it mainly does everything for me (installing wise) i would like that sence im not at the greatest at this d2loader for some reason. i can set up d2jsp in no time but loader always gets messed up. -_-. i also looked for the cd keys that you mentioned but i did not see any links for them. Thanks with th\e so far help though.

The CD keys are found at this link. Replace the *s as you did before.

What problem do you get with D2Loader exactly?

Note: The defualt folder for Diablo 2 is C:\Program Files\Diablo II

1 Rename your original Diablo2 game file to whatever you want, I made mine Diablo II original.exe. You can move it or keep it in the Diablo2 folder.

2 Extract the Diablo II.exe from the ZIP and place it in the Diablo2 folder

3 Run Diablo 2

If you had any shorcuts on the desktop, they will open this file automatically (as it is in the same place with the same name as the old one).

Does it work ok? What error messages are you getting? What problems are you getting?

Once D2Loader is up...

To Run Diablo2 Without The CD

1 Put the Diablo CD into your CD-ROM

2 In My Computer, right click on the CD and select open.

3 Copy the d2xvideo.mpq and d2xmusic.mpq, paste them in your Diablo2 folder.

Run Multiple Copies of Diablo 2

- You will need more then one set of Classic\Expans CD keys

- You will need a modified d2gfx.dll

- You will need Serby's ChangeCDKey

1 Open your Diablo II folder. Make a backup of your old d2gfx.dll
Right click on the old version, click cut. Paste it to a location that you will remember. Extract the d2gfx.dll from the ZIP file into your Diablo2 folder.

2 Make a copy of the shorcut to d2loader (Diablo II) on the desktop, and paste another one on the desktop. You will need two because each will use seperate CD keys.

3 Extract and run Serby's CDKeyChanger. Choose to make a new file. When it asks for a filename, put in cdkey.mpq. Click ok. Fill in the CD Keys of your EXTRA SET of CD keys. Do NOT use the ones you had when you bought the version of Diablo II you are using, use the ones found from the link above, or from another copy of Diablo 2.

4 Right click on one of the two Diablo2 shortcuts you have on the desktop. Modify the target box to look like this.

"*Your Diablo2 File, DO NOT CHANGE THIS*" -mpq cdkey.mpq

5 You should now be able to run both at the same time. You will need more then one Diablo2 account, as you cannot log into one from both copies (I think that is obvious)

i doubt there are any keys still out there that will work on bnet.

I have not tried myself... you could always go down to Walmart, feed them some story that you want to check the contents to make sure it is all there and quickly jot down the keys. Or buy a copy and return it the next day.

im having trouble working with Serby's ChangeCDKey.. there is no create option available?

thats because it is a cdkey changer not a generator. in fact there is no cd key generator because even if there was you couldnt play on bnet with those keys. have you been reading the abovee posts? you need to buy keys.

oh i know i have an xtra set my friend gave me... i just dont know how to create an xtra cdkey file for the other shortcut to use that cdkey file instead of my original....

i have never used that program but i have used onlyers it comes with a readme to explain it and is fairly easy to comprehend.

I have never used CD Key changer myself. What you have to do is run it, choose option 2 (read MPQ), enter the name cdkey.mpq and enter the keys on your extra set of keys. I will look into it, but don't use Onlyer's. I am almost positive you can not use it to run multiple Diablo IIs at once. I will look into it though. Either way, I have had you change the target to work with what Serby's does... if you need screenshots I can provide them.

I can't get Serby's to work. Onlyers only changes your CD key to the best of my knowledge... I will keep working on it.

yeah im not that smart in the computer area screen shots would be helpful, i saw a new method that might work though: http://www.blizzhackers.com/viewtopic.ph...570d0a5d1e it is very confusing for me though. i would much rather do it your way but in the mean time i will try this. thanks.

2 Copy the cdkey.mpq into your Diablo II folder.

3 Right click on the auto-cdkey.reg and choose edit.

Modify the entry to look like this

well i did everything u said. and i get cdkey in use, i do not think that reg-edit thing worked or something. when ever i right click and put merge it just asks me if i want to add information to the document.. not where cdkey.mpq is located though. should i put reg edit in my d2folder?

after you do that you need to run the filler program. (i foret what it is called) then just click fill both keys then choose you diablo directory. then click install anyway.

I will look into it, but don't use Onlyer's. I am almost positive you can not use it to run multiple Diablo IIs at once.

really? i run multiple games all the time. you just didnt do the last step.probly why you couldnt do it.

I forgot to get him to refill keys... :o

Oh well, looks like he has it working. To be honest, I only knew of the ShowCdKey program and D2Loader in Onlyer's... that is why I did not recommend he use it.
