Is shout worth it?

Is shout really worth it? my last barb had bo and shout maxed, sure it looked impressive with my def whent up 400% or so, but it really didnt seem to do much. in pvp or pvm. 20 skill points is alot to waste on something that isnt gona help you, so please tell me, IS shout worth it??? -Any other tips on barbs would be great!-

yes its worth it, even if you dont max it, at least get it and throw a few points in

defense is very important in both pvp and pvm. i would max it if ur planning on dueling. like blood said, if u don't want to *waste* 20 points just put a few points into shout

Yea.. Shout helps ALOT. If you are planning on dueling, max it. If you are going to be PvM then i would just put a few points into it. Maybe around 10?

The one exception in PvM may be if you plan to make a concentrate barb - these guys thrive on defense, and maxing shout will help you raise your defense as well as allowing your BO to last longer so you wouldn't have to worry about casting it as much.

Defense is extremely important and so is shout. After you max all your skills including shout i even do iron skin.

My barb has no need for shout. I would just max out iron skin and natural defense(i think thats what its called, the one that gives you a bunch of resistance). Shout has not really ever helped me. I can usually kill almost anything before i run out of life. My defense is already through the roof.
