05-05-2006, 01:24 PM

chicken24 Wrote:deviantart.com just search for the brushes\ ya i got that part. but now i dont understand what he means, time to render, place it UN-EXISTED this is very unclear to me.

sorry its un resized, and place it so it covers most of your sig, like most renders are verly large, so place it so it covers lots of your sig like 90%

Ok man...Another problem. I seriously don't get what this "overlaying" thing is. Where do I find it? I go into layer blending properties, and theres Color Overlay, Gradient Overlay, and Pattern Overlay. None of them looks too good. I'm using CS2 btw. I don't get where to find the REAL overlay you guys talk about. Also, when you motion blurred that layer, it actually still kept the whole grunge look and just added color to it. My problem is that my picture completely overcomes all previous layer, it gets on top of everything, and even when I motion blur, its on top of everything. I want it to be like yours, you know like how when you placed your render un-resized, and instead of overlapping everything, it actually just blended in and just colored the grunge look. Please help me out lol.
Additional Comment: Ummm...Very sorry I apologize, I read the list of the layer modifier things like 10 times and I never saw the "Overlay" one. My bad, I just kept missing it, I just noticed it lol. I used to use pin light of soft light from that list, but now I'ma use Overlay. Additional Comment: OK, another question. My render is basically a picture, but its like inside a sqaure...I mean that white space surrounds the picture, and I want to get rid of that white space without manually cutting out the sides using lasso. Is there a way to make it so that white space dissappears and only tha actual render stays? Like in Frogman's tut, he uses Goku and theres white space around him, so how do I get rid of that space in my Layer? Thank you...

use the magic wand, at 1.2.3 tolerance and if it overtakes the sig, change the layer mode, to somthing other than overlay, if its dark change to lighten or screen, if its really bright set to darken or multply, and soforth

Thanks man...Also, like when you motion-blurred your unresized render, it looked nice...Whenever I put any picture on my grunged up stuff, it OVERTAKES it...It HIDES stuff behind it. When you did it, I can stil see the strokes of your grunge brush behind the motion blurred picture...But when I blur it, I can't see through it, help please, I'm really trying to learn and I'm making something special for someone...

Suddenly, the guy just whips out a picture, out of nowhere... Where do I get pictures like that from (no backround), and how do I add it onto the background, so that it's there so perfectly, no cuts or anything... :|
Sorry, I really suck at this, started like 10 min ago.

use magic wand tool to select areas u wish to remove from a picture
to find a picture u can just google any image u want, for example if u like monkeys, u can google for monkey and find a pic u like, then copy paste it!
