How do i change my ip address? i got banned from bnet temporarily i hope for spamming (by accident)... 2nd time it happened..... when i click on connect it goes straight to connection error--- how do i change my ip address through a router? (linksys)
Please answer asap thx

Call your isp and say your internet aint working and you woudl like a new isp. thats what i did devilish:

Cant remember the exact command but typing something like this in dos sometimes works.
ipconfig /release
(wait 5 mins)
ipconfig /renew
Not sure if thats the correct command, somebody else might know. However if you acctually have a personal static ip address this might not work.

Open your linksys router settings, and find the setting for IP Adress or DHCP server. If it is using a DHCP server, change the numbers it supplies to the LAN. If it is using the IP adress in the box, change it.
I use a D-Link myself, so I can't give you better instructions. Linksys are probably second best.

Well i went into my router config, then to setup and there was DHCP STarting ip address which i changed and it doesnt work. also there is a static ip spot that i can change but idk if i should change that. There is Local ip address and Internet ip address (both i can change) but if i change internet ip address then wont my internet go off?
if someone could help me via aim this would be easier so please leave ur screen name
and just to add for the MAC thing it is disable and if i enable it wut #'s i put?

i did that then my internet wasnt working so i had to put back old ip.... i need sum1 to help me on aim.... so much easier than through here... and about that MAC thing... i need more info

Reset your router...right.

Or if you get your ip automatically from your router reboot your pc.

isnt there a command line thing for the d2 short cut that deals with ip?
