I just tried to login to battle . net uswest

and it says

your acount was closed (8)

Means your account was closed. When you try to log in it would say something like your key is banned. just make a new acc.

you were banned for a hack, probably maphack. thats what the (8) means. your account is permanently closed and your CD key is banned for a month

Harassment may result in the closure of the account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.

Blizzard Entertainment does not tolerate bots spamming chat channels or the use of bots to congest channels, which disrupts the normal flow of dialogue. This directly violates the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game.

While Battle.net is a mature environment, we will close accounts that are used to violate the Battle.net Terms of Use Agreement and/or End User License Agreement of the game. We firmly believe that Battle.net's strength lies in its community, and racist or extremely offensive comments are not tolerated.

This account was detected using a third-party program (hack) with one of our games on Battle.net. This account is now permanently banned. Any third-party program that is designed to affect the way the user interacts with Battle.net is considered a hack program. This includes seemingly harmless third-party utilities that work with the game to provide functions that were not included by the game designers. While many of these utilities might not have been created to disrupt the balance of the game, they alter the original design of the program. The detection of any such program by Battle.net may result in the closure of the user's account or even the temporary or permanent banning of the associated CD-Key.

Is it hard too understand something.. DON'T HACK... You can't say that you didn't because that's what the (8) stands for...

You dont have to use hacks to get banned, trying to scam people of accounts/cd keys etc can get you banned.

You have to take screen shots of it and such, you can also be banned for being under 13. But yes, the (8) means you were banned by a hack or bot, as others had said.

Nope screenshot the messege log of his char name acc and try and make him admit that he took it..than send it to blizz and they will probly look more into the matter

doesn't seem anyone else has asked yet. what did you use that could have gotten you banned? a warning to the rest of us could be helpful
