Best merc for a barb? Type/Gear

I though i knew what merc to get for my barb, but ive had so many people tell me otherwise im gona come to you guys. What merc is best for a pvm con barb? And gear will help alot too.

Head--8/8 20%DR vamp gaze?
Armor--30res fortitude?
Wep--415% Bold polearm?

i would go act2 offensive merc which gives a might aura boosting ur dmg

head---eth dream or eth delirium
armor--eth fort
weapon--pride polearm----> gives concentration aura

What commandwolf said, except the weapon, pride gives NO enhanced dmg.

yer it gives no enhanced damage but it gives a lvl 16-20 concentration which is far more usefull. And since its a barb it would be far more beneficial than having your merc do more damage since it gives both the benefit. You get something like a 300% increase and your merc does too.

I would say Eth Doom instead of Pride. Doom gives good %ED and holy freeze aura(helps ALOT). But you can use pride if you want. Just don't think your merc will do anything...

I forgot to add in there that im going to be useing a last wish zerker axe, so ill already have the lvl 17 might that the merc would give off. sry. Dose the might stack? so ide have a lvl, 34 might??? that would be sick but i dont think auras stack. well, now that i fixed my mistake. feel free to post again. =D

Pride would be your #1 choice. Also you could use an act3 merc using the aura stack glitch for some elemental damage against pesky immunes.

If you have a merc on a barb it's considered bm by most people......im not sure why tho...

act 2 defensive merc for mf sorc that does mm bot, act 2 offensive merc for barb with 0.8 gaze with 40/15, 30 dr 40/15 levi and 415 15ll ebotd war pike, thats what i have and it works for me great

i really dont agree with Pride id suggest Dream Last wish ( if you cant make it in a polearm get a act3 merc or a act5..) so last wish dream and fort if ur act5 merc act3 last wish dream shuield dream helm and bug it with a fort
