Socketing Question

Ok so i have a Sup PB with 11ed that im looking to make a grief out of and im hesitent (spelling) to socket it using Laz. Is there a cube recipy to socket it to how many sockets you want or is it just luck of the draw? :dunce: (I didn't know where to put this so i put it in Disscusion sorry if i put in wrong thread)

In the cube or using a socket quest it will always get the max number of sockets.

The number of sockets created will vary. The item must be normal and unsocketed. Low-quality items and superior items do not work. The item gets 1-4 sockets, randomly. However, the number of sockets is then restricted by the maximum number of sockets that base item with that ilvl can have. For example, if you have an item that can only have 2 sockets, there's a 3/4 chance of getting 2 sockets and a 1/4 chance of getting 1 socket.

You cannot use the Add Socket Quest reward on Socketed Items.

You can only add Sockets to items that allow Sockets. Normal items add the max number of Sockets depending on the item's level (this is determined by the level of the monster that dropped it) and the inherent maximum number of Sockets for the item's base type. So you may not always receive the "max" number of Sockets.

Never less ... I wanted a 3 sock flail so I used quite a lot of Larz Q's to get one & always ended up with 5 sock ...

Alright i think my best option is just looking for a 5 soc pb instead of socketing this one i dont wanna waste unsocketing runes and the quests so thanks for you help.

Never less ... I wanted a 3 sock flail so I used quite a lot of Larz Q's to get one & always ended up with 5 sock ...

Socket quest on a normal adds the MAX socket therefore whatever you do to the flail it will always be 5OS

About the PB you can use the Cube recipe but you are more likely going to get 6OS... very slim chance you will gete 5OS though

heres an idea save that socket quest for something better and trade a pul for a 5os pb

Eh i just said f it so i made a new char and rushed him to norm and did it i got a 6 soc lol well thanks for the help i think i will just trade for one

Should've done cube recipe =/ but you can make a cheap BOTD =P
