My question is why does dell even have someones SS#. I have ordered from them before and never given that information out, plus why would that put that in an email and not block out all but the last 4 digits? are you sure its not an order number or somethin?

If you use a Dell Preferred Account it's like credit through Dell and they use SSN to verify your credit history and and all this other bull shit.

i would contact the person and inform her of dell's screw-up. not so she can sue but so she can be more informed and decide whether or not she still trusts dell with her information
