Lots of ways... most to complicated to explain. The only vaguely consistent way is to rollback your character... but to do so you need to cause server side lag which is hard. I think bonewall necromancers can do this pretty easy, but it's not really my thing.

If you want lag, get a bunch of 56k'ers in the room, make sure they all have zoo necros, and let em loose in diablos sanctuary place. lag will be insane there.

i might have a record here = less than .02 fps on open testing a mod (i have DSL too... )

Nice, Ive heard, if you drop an item in a game, and cut the power to ur whole house, the INSTANT after u drop the item, itll still be in ur inventory AND on th ground... But ive neevr tried it personaly... My friend said he duped a bunch of sojs...

yeah, like.. shadow master... or zonfire99 (thats what i use) for shadow master, just copy and paste them, for zonfire, all u do is click on it, and click again as many times as u want.

Sorry. I dont really like editors. lol Im one of those people who actually earn their stuff even in single player. I think there is a way to dupe items in single player. And it will prolly come out when people start playing the beta for the supposed Diablo 3.

if u crash ur ur com, anyway u want, or exit d2 without saving, usually by minimizing and ending task, u need a good friend to grab the item, even if u do this a while after uv given the item it usually works, i discovered this accidentally and i almost crapped my pants twice :eek: , when i thought i had lost the item and when i found out i still had it

The way the packets are sent simply doesn't work like that... either the packet is sent or it isn't... there is no in between phase. It MAY possible with a HELL of a lot of lag this could work. However recreating this exact scenario would be hard, and if your lagging yourself out, just rely on rollback.

There are many methods of duping, the most succesful of which involve rolling back your character. Cutting the power the instant the packet is sent would either result in you sending or not sending the packet to blizz. You won't cut the packet off while sending simply because it's data, therefore faster than your power button. Give it a go by all means, but divine intervention will be needed for it to work.

The best dupe method I know is as follows. Most people who've been around a while already know this (and those that do can point out if and where I went wrong), but for those that are asking here goes:

o1. You need three people, we'll call them A, B and C
o2: You need the item your duping, we'll call that the CHICKEN
o3: Finally you need a little patience

Player A has his the CHICKEN. Eventually at some point as we have all encountered at one time or another, you will lag out. You'll be walking along and see a black wall, and for all cosmetic purposes at this point you are no longer directly connected to B.Net anymore. At this point player B joins the game. Player A drops the CHICKEN, and player B picks it up. Player C is already in another game. Player B leaves the game, and joins the game that Player C is in. Player B gives player C the CHICKEN at which point all players leave the game and come back.

Player A has a CHICKEN, and player C has a CHICKEN.

I may have this wrong, basically because I'm at work and I'm tired. But this is the general method most people use. You can substitute the CHICKEN for anything you like, and in any quantity provided you can fit it in player B's inventory. There are ways of lagging out the game yourself, most involve zoo necromancers, bonewall necromancers and javazon combos, but it's just as easy to wait. If i've said something wrong please let me know.

The way it works is all in the packets (this info sent from your computer to blizzard). When you lag out you no longer send packets, but are still in the game. I have heard rumours that this was the way all the old 'ITH' bugs were uploaded, but I have neither the expertise or the inclination to look into this further.
