CHICKEN eh? Well all these ideas seem like balony except for the chicken one (looks like the other examples on these forums somewhere). But I will tell you that cutting the power to the comp (or even to your entire house) will not work. When you press alt+f4 out of the game (assuming you have a fast comp) it will kill it pretty fast. Even though cutting power is much faster, still, like Skye said, there is no inbetween. Lag will sometimes help you out on this in which the package is stuck, but you never really know when it's stuck or not. I'd say try duping in the Throne of Destruction; most lag happens there.
So no matter how many methods you try, if you have a 290, dupe that first. Then dupe it more and more and you can eventually open up a d2 item shop and theres your source of income. Sound like fun? We all wish we could do that...

I wouldnt even cut the power to my comp, i hate waiting for it to re-boot.
Sure we have crazy ideas, but sometimes they work =)

ok I found a way to do it on single player....
Go into your char files and set one of that chars files to read only. Then go in and drop the item... Then TA DA! have some one crap the item and its duped. Leave the game by save and exit game. Then go back to ur char files and turn off read only.

The way it works is all in the packets (this info sent from your computer to blizzard). When you lag out you no longer send packets, but are still in the game. I have heard rumours that this was the way all the old 'ITH' bugs were uploaded, but I have neither the expertise or the inclination to look into this further. And I apologise for the double postiness...
theoretically it looks like your method would work, but how long does it take you to black wall in a game, ive waited 3 h and never blackwalled.
and if A has the chicken and A has blackwalled, how can he drop the item if he laggs so much, (do you just have the trust this?)

im telling u my method works, ive done it and it only takes 2, duping on open is easy, i have no idea why that was posted, also with crashing u lose any recently done quests, if done properly u shouldnt be adle to reneter the game within the 5min alloted

Gacett, is this what you mean. I'm changing my chicken to a duck this time:
o1. Player A finds a DUCK
o2. Player A picks it up
o3. Player A drops the DUCK
o4. Player B picks it up
o5. Player A nobbs out his computer
o6. Player B picks up item
This shouldn't work... the data is sent to quickly.. it sounds like a scam to me. like the old "put your item on the floor and press ctrl-alt-del lots. lol

y, the key is too crash ur com correctly so that all recent data but not to recent is deleted, u need to hold onto the duck for a while preferably saving then reentering, if u do this u will lose all progress for the last few minutes, maybe theres a refresh program of sorts because u wont lose all ur previous progress only recent but u will not dupe if u hang around too long
if i were to scam i would do the cheap trick of quickly closing the trade window right before they put the item into the trade box or ride a game of high lvl mf char and suck up his drops usually their busy fighting

all u hav to do to dupe is stop the pakcets going to bnet using 1 of them packet programmes im sure i hav 1 somwhere ill try to find it

Information is sent to Blizzard real time, you cannot call it back. Even lag couldn't get that to work, it would require so much lag you'd disconnect from B.Net before it worked. I don't doubt you duped something, but there is not a chance on earth you did it using this method. :confused:
I will however look into this method, and maybe try and work out what happened when you duped.

y with crayons, there are very inaccurte, u need colored pencils or pens, but if u cut out the figure first it will make it easier
