act 3 merc glich

ok now i know all about the merc glitch and i want one for my smiter. so what is the best merc to have? i figured cold but hey i've been wrong. what do i gear him up with? i know dream helm and sheild. and i was told fortitude. what wep should i giv it? somthing with FCR and increased cold dammage? also how exactly do i glitch it? i just want to make sure i do it right the first time so i don't have to do it twice.
