Atleast Nintendo is being original creative ideas and names. I mean Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 arent very inventive names. Also look at old Nintendo systems.

No its tottatly different......Playstation and xbox are both gaming icons no need to change names on a system that sells. Nintendo hasnt been sucussful enough In the last few years to carry on its name. Go play with your wii wii

nintendo is a much larger and well known gaming icon than ps2 and x-box combined 20 years worth of production and 2 billion games sold over the 20 years , they have 2 movies (both are total shit btw), and has made massive leaps in the quality of video games
the name for the 360 and ps3 have no real meaning
ps3 should be called theft (online and wiimote function)
360 should be called the PC (it could very well be clasified as a pc)
revo's called wii since its for everyone

Like I said in another thread, feel free to put a giant sticker over the system and call it a Revo if you want....it has no effect on the gameplay. I'm not 100% sure if it was announced @ E3 or just known beforehand, but I know a friend from across the hall came to me and was excited about Red Steel (for Wii); it's kind of like Gunz with guns and swords, but with the controller it seems awesome. I also saw there was some kind of area for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption; looks pretty sweet.

ummm. the gamecube out sold the xbox worldwide and the gameboy continues to slay the PSP. so i think they're pretty successful.

and yes sony are a bunch of assbites for stealing the wii controller. plus you can't expect "revolution" to be an official name.. do you know the definition of revolution? nintendo is a family oriented company, you can't expect them to be named after something as violent as a revolution.

sony lost any possible sale they were going to get from me with that pathetic "innovation" with their controller. f*** sony.

PS3 is suppose to have free internet gaming opposed to M$ yearly fee. I really cant wait for Spore..that looks awsome...and Legend of Zelda: TP. Also the PS3 price...600 is pretty hefty price.

With the PS3 though that price will be well worth it just for the Blue Ray discs. Most Blue Ray players are gonna cost you well over $1000 but soon you'll be able to pick up a system that can play Blue Ray for $600. Pretty good bargain if you ask me...

Also, about the whole stealing the Wii-mote...you do know that Nintendo helped Sony make the first Playstation right? In fact I recall seeing a picture of the first Playstation and it carried both Sony's and Nintendo's logos on the lid.

I think he's aware of that he just had his train of thought side tracked for a bit...it happens and yeah it's confuzing when people do that.

I almost forgot, the PS3 have free and open online is not a good thing. Doing that leaves it open for companies to charge their own fees so you could end up paying anywhere between $5-$15 for each game.

I liked the preview for the new Insomniac game. It doesn't have a name but it shows a guy in a jungle running around shooting and whatnot, and it looks third person. It's lookin bad ass and I can't wait to get my hands on PS3. And the reason Sony made their controller motion sensitive is they knew that Nintendo would have a chance to steal the edge from them. They did what they had to do and they're leaps and bounds away from the 360 or the Wii technologically.

November 17 is the day the 360 dies like the Dreamcast. Think about it it's the same thing. Think about it, PS2 came out a year after DC when DC was the only big competition for it and just obliterated it. Sony has the biggest casual and hardcore following out there. Either way no matter what happens they will outsell Nintendo and Microsoft. And why should I buy a 360 when I can build one. If the dashboard is the same as a regular X-Box then you can copy it to a harddrive and hook it all up.

360 is the biggest piece of shit on the market, it was rushed and now they're ****ed, I bet Bill and J are pissing their pants while I type this because they see the coming onslaught.

There is a big difference between sega dreamcast and xbox. For one dreamcast was so difficult to program games for that third party developers just gave up and ended up rushing the games. Now xbox owns the software market This console only makes a small dent in the income that Microsoft gets yearly. If gates wanted to he could drop some change and buy a few million dollars worth of xbox's and never think twice about it

the news that you could still use gc controllers makes me more sure i am going to buy it...even though i will have to do as jedi said and cover up the name with tape and write revo over it...some of those screenshots look pretty sweet, new link looks badass
