Ok. So. The ride was alright to semi-boring. We get there and we get our hotel. We went to Lake Michigan and all this other shit. And then we walked around and got some food. CHICAGO HAS ****ING AWESOME PIZZA. Then it was 8 and time for the concert. About 3 months ago I saw Trivium and this black, crack-smoking-sounding guy was asking for tickets. HE WAS AT THE TOOL CONCERT, TOO! AHHH!

Tool was awesome. It was really, really short though. Only about an hour and a half. But there was no shitty opening band so yea. They played about 4 or 5 off of 10k Days and closed with Vicarious/Aenima. God damn it ruled...

I used to get into new metal. I only really get into old metal now, but I still do listen to Lamb of God and Chimaira from time to time.

Has anyone been to a NIN show? I went to get tickets but the were sold out, its the first time they've come to Boise..... NIN doesn't really seem like a concert band to me.

Korn/10 Years just came through and Korn ****ing rocked, 10 years was so-so

I like their music. I grew up on Korn and I used to have all their albums but then they all got stolen :/ I like NIN also, but I don't buy their CD's becuase 75% of all tracks are just someone working a mixer. (no vocals)

I like Tool (the band, not the D2S e-pinion that flames everyone's music), but I still laughed my ass off when I read this :

http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=3787

Quote:First up, “Vicarious”: a Dateline Special Report on violence in the news media featuring guest commentator Maynard James Keenan. Excellent! I’ve been hoping to hear Maynard weigh in on the hottest issue of 1990. Maynard remains ambivalent!

*laugh*

Quote:What can I say about 10,000 Days, really? It sounds exactly and precisely like a Tool album. They might as well have not have released it at all, because anyone who’s ever heard Tool could simply imagine what a new Tool album would sound like, and this is exactly what they’d imagine. We’ve got Maynard’s trademarked wacky frontloaded cadence that makes him sound like he’s gasping out words between pauses in getting beaten up (vi oomph cari oomph ous oomph ly oomph I…Wink. Only in “The Pot” does he break out of his well-trod habits and surprise/embarrass us with some little-brotherly falsetto mewling. We’ve got Danny Carey’s (or is it Dana Carvey? I always mix those two up. Both are drummers, you know) inscrutable poly-molly-wooly-rhythms and tiresome bass drum wank-rolls that sound like a finger stuck in a fan (but, somehow, it’s music!).

*laughs more*

Yeah, I did too. It may be completely wrong but it's funny as shit. =\

I'd like to know what the people who write the music reviews listen to, though.

And I know you don't like me. A lot of people don't. I like it that way because I don't like a lot of people either. =D

Additional Comment:
Also, I'd like to mention for the record that I'm sorry for being one of the few people who actually listens to good music.

David Thrope picks apart music for the hell of it. I don't think I've ever heard him say one nice thing about any band out there. If you haven't already read his 'band zingers' five pages of single paragraphs about bands people request.
