Scroll down until you see 12-PopUp, and choose a downlaod location. It is highlighted because it is one of the most popular programs.

Should get rid of the popups, if it blocks anything legit you can either tell it not to, or just hold CONTROL when clicking the link. Have fun

The best way to deal with spyware is a combo of SpyBot (link above), and AdAware SE. Both are free, and they each catch what the other misses quite well.

I'm just a computer technician giving good info, and yes, AdWare is also very good at getting some spyware that SpyBot doesn't.
