Cheap Uber Smiter Guide

Well just thought i would right a guide for a cheap smiter that has done ubers about 50 times now, with no problems.

Gear

Weapon:: Heavens Light (2socket with all resist jewels in them)
Armour:: Guardian Angel (Socket with either 15ias jewel/um rune)
Helm:: Guillames Face (Socket with um rune)
Belt:: T-Gods (Light absorb)
Gloves:: Draculs Grasp (Need for life tap)
Ammy:: Highlords Wrath
Ring 1:: Raven Frost
Ring 2:: Raven Frost or str/res ring
Boots:: Gore Riders
Shield:: Griswolds Honor Vortex Shield (3 sockets 2 perfect diamonds and 1 15ias jewel)

Inventory:: try and get resist charms and any life charms you can find and also some dexterity charms will be good.

With these items his resists are

90,90,95,90

Stat Points

Strength:: 85 (if you are using a +16 and up str ring other wise you might need a hundred strength or you could use some strength charms)
Dexterity:: 75
Vitatlity:: Rest of your points
Energy:: Nothing

Why did i put into strength, well this is a poor mans guide so i am assuming there is no torch or anni involved.

Skill Tree

Max Smite
Max Holy Shield
Max Fanaticism
Put 8 points into Salvation
Max defiance

And your pre-requistes ofcourse.

Besting The Ubers

Well this is they way i kill ubers.

1. Iether just run through the middle with salavation on and kill Mephisto and the Switch to Fanaticism and Kill Diablo and Baal. Done it with this build countless times.

2. The safer approach is when you get through the portal run to along the sides to the back of tristram. Put you salavation aura on and taunt Meph to come down from the back of tristram. one you got him hopefully life tap will come on quickly(if not your gear/tgods/salavation aura will keep you safe for awhile). Once you kill run in and kill Diablo and Baal, i prefer to kill baal after mephisto because of his stupid Mana Burn.

Collect your prize.

And there you go beating ubers with a char that has items which can be MF'ed easily.

Not a bad guide, but the only thing I'd change is heavens light to "Black" RW on a flail and the armor to "Treachery" runeword. If you use treachery go to somewhere in act 1 where are many monsters so they hit you and fade proccs

Yea its not a bad idea.. but GA does bost your res by quite alot which is nice

Yea dwarf star can work its also cheap. But a str ring is better IMO so you can keep from having to waste Stat points(although you can use charms i guess)

highlords is worthless for a smiter....smiters dont get deadly strike...your better off going eye of etlich or something else even cheaper.

i think you might need more in dex for max block

this is not a bad build for how cheap it is. of course, my expensive build is better, but this works

Yea a more expensive smiter build is better but like a say this smiter how by the way is on HC has done 50 successful runs.

instead of completely substituting treachery for guardians like posted just use the fade then switch back to GA. that''s what i do with my non cheap smiter some times and i like it

OK, if Highlords is "worthless," how about Saracen's Chance until I can grab another Mara's? Or would I be better off grabbing a +2 to pali ammy with some mods?

dont know sarachen mods off hand, but if you can get ahold of a seraph thats what mine uses. a rare +2pally would be fine too. its not really that highlords is worthless, just the deadly strike doesnt work with smite, so you'd be just as well off with an eye of etlich or telling of beads

Is their another cheap weapon besides heavens light? I haven't been able to find it for under 4 sojs

black flail is ur best alternative to heavens( give crushing blow and is an ok speed)

Well about the black Rw, i found an uniqe sqourge wich was named Stormlash wich has about the same mods as the black flail. and its uniqe so you can socket it. look it up and look if its a good alternaitve to the black flail

I was just about to ask about my cheap build for Ubers when I saw this. I'm planning on using black, but is the Heavens Light better by alot? And what if compared to Astreons, just to ask, I'm probably not going to get an Astreon lol.

Its cheap I know. But will there be something I should change for it to have a significant difference? Your Guardian Angel build with 90,90,95,90 resist is so sexy =[. I already made a Duress though. What do you think?

Edit: Woot going swimming. I have to say it because I'm compulsive like that x_X. <--- I had to say that too because of Obsessive Compusive Disorder. Wow just googled that up.

Yeah Kazecloud I've seen worse smiters do Trist sucessfully. There is a youtube video of a smiter killing trist with a shaeled wizspike, I personally don't like black and heavens light is pretty cheap but you should be fine.

Edit: And why do you like heavens light? Is it faster? Black has 40% CB or is 33% on Heaven's light suffice? And the +2-3 Paladin skill level a big bonus for Heaven's light right? Please explain.

Actually spending a hr or maybe even 2 building a character that can do ubers and get you all the torches is quite worth 2 hrs.

Alright im building a cheap Smiter 4 Ubers ONLY

im collecting the gear bits by bit right now and am still lvling the pally currently (on like lvl 35 right now as of now, and dont like grushin cuz it takes the fun outta building a char to me) but hope to be lvling by next week.

Heres the gear i was "planning" on using, along with some question marks (not sure meaning i dont have it yet)

Helm: Not sure Yet. Any other suggestions besides Guillames? and what are those costing on NL right now?
Armor: Guardian Angel
Weapon: Black Flail
Shield: Eth Exile Vortex Shield (was planning on getting an Up'd Hoz but was able to get this off some guy for 6 hrs)
Gloves: Dracs (should i not use these now since i have an Exile? if so what should i use?)
Boots: Not Sure Yet. Gore Riders the way to go?
Belt: Not sure. T gods?
Ammy: Not Sure Either, Any Suggestions?
Rings: Ravenfrost / Dwarf Star (or should i go dual ravenfrosts?)

I also have an Anni & Ptorch for him, so that should help save points for Vitality and add resists.

Lemme Know what i should do to help this build. Also will i need any pcombs or anything like that to do Ubers? and with this build plus the items you suggest will i have any problems with ubers?
