Is your Dsl modem running through a usb port or your ethernet port, if it is running through your ethernet port you might need to install the drivers that it has, it really depends on how old your computer it

My internet connection is working fine.

My diablo 2 is not letting me connect.

--------------------*EDIT* BIG TIME EDIT

8.12. 10061 (Connection refused)
================================
Description:
------------
No connection could be established due to the target computer actively refused it,
or there is no server software running.

Diagnosis:
----------
The Battle.net server is either down, or you have been IP banned.

Solution:
---------
Go to www.battle.net and check out their server status, or wait it out.

I have not done anything wrong so if I have been IP Banned this will be complete bs...

have you tried restarting your modem/router (if you one?)
just unplug it, remove the coxial cable if you have one, and let it sit for about 10 minets. then restart everything
US East L/NL-arowws4 arowws5 uber/organ runs for free. Free items too. Just ask. Must be member of this site.

I think you might be IP banned from Diablo II? I don't know how I could be more clear about the router mode thing, I am not talking about your router, but your modem. Many modems are in a mode by default called router mode and you can get them to switch it to bridge mode. This can be done with a simple call to your ISP, and they don't even need to come over. The router and the modem may be interfering with each other if the modem is in router mode.

Again, if this does not work, it is probably an IP ban. You already said that you have tried it without the modem right?

Edit: What kind of modem do you have anyway? Brand\Model #

If he had been IP banned then he must have static IP adress because he said that he unplugged the modem and even restart it and he couldn't log in. What was the last thing you did when you were online?
