Well...I see no reason why someone can't talk in their native tongue. Especially for Stores/Restaurant's (BUSINESS). I talk fluent Italian because that's how we socialize with our freinds. Not because were trying to make anyone wonder what were saying.
And another thing too...I guess to my opinion...the source where I guess more racism/prejudice builds up, is of course Media Stereotyping.

I myself don't mind if you speak a different language than English, but it's when you DONT know english and still expect to be treated as an equal in America that bothers me.

I don't think badly of people that choose to speak their native language wherever they want to, that's their choice.
However, I'm going to take BMT's side on this. As a part of a community, you should at least be able to communicate effectively with the majority of the country.
